I allow him to play other 1st person shooters but personally don’t allow profanity (my choice 👍). What good is the Battlefield 2042 profanity filter in text chat when Mackay screams out.. G*Damn**....

@CountSeroPlease don't point to the game rating companies/agencies as some form of reliable guidance. They encourage/enable EA's FIFA child gambling ("Surprise mechanics") by making that game basically E for Everyone. But seeing how making a scoreboard or not ridiculous UI is a bridge too far for EA, being able to deselect profane voice lines would prove impossible.
@-DFA-Thump I have the same opinion related to the gambling mechanics and here in Germany, they already have done a huge step and some games have not gotten the E for everyone here. In GER the discussion between real gambling and simulated gambling and if this this part of the core game is still ongoing, we will see what this brings in future.
But still than this Age restrictions are not an exemption from your parental duties, If my kid would ask me for hundreds of euros to put into one game this make me sit up and take notice 😉

- @CountSero Fair enough. Also glad that at least some countries are taking action...sadly, it's not going to be the U.S. leading the effort as the politicians have been bought.
