Platoons in BF4 were one aspect that made the Battlefield community strong.
So because of some bad apples that misused platoons to do mischief, you want them gone for everyone?
Not supporting Platoons, Guilds, Clans, or what else you like to call these communities, in-game, just does form a less strong connection to the game.
It such important mechanism to find like minded people to play together with. It makes a huge difference to you play with your platoon mates and communicate in the squad, to the random everyone on its own squads with no communication at all.
And I think it is a little shortsighted to believe you solve anything by eliminating "clans" in game.
You can't ban them out of the game. If mischievous players use in-game clans, at least they become easy to spot, and you can avoid them.

If the clans eliminated the cheaters for playing like that, that would be great. They all say they do, but none of those clans drive out these cheaters because they favor those clans.
And won the matches for them. 😢
