Welcome to the greatest comedy shooting gallery. Where the numbers don't matter!. Occasionally you can troll some snipers. Blow up a tank, plane, heli but 99% of the time you'll be respawning after dying to 1 super shot. Just as Mother Dice intended.

@SnubbyFighterand if you think about the tone of the game upon release (with all the goofy Specialist sayings, etc), this game was probably intended for 10yr olds.
Someone approved, and recorded this to be a tagline in a Battlefield game "Don't be sad, this is just how it works out sometimes", seriously. Development time and resources went into that. Let that sink in for a second and you can imagine how much wasted dev time when into the most worthless aspects of this title. Mismanaged from top down.

Jokes aside this is the sloppiest FPS I have ever played. Nothing with the netcode seems to be working correctly. It seems that the servers throw 20% of your shots away, you get killed around corners, killed with one packet and rarely feel like you are hitting anything.

Don't forget they're really good with communication. They said the hit reg issue is just stacked defensive items. I'm positive that will be the answer to all our problems.

Yeah just use the Mtar and every burst the server ignores 4-5 shots at least. The only reason to play this game is for the added Dice Challenge. Where everything is up to chance. Get the drop on someone no worries they have time to shoot you first because your shots didn't count!

Seriously DICE, how am I dying constantly when taking less than 100 dmg? Most of the time they are instant deaths as well. I would say over half of my deaths are now in this manner. It would happen on occasion before, but now, it is over 50% easily. I know there are hit reg issues, but this is almost the opposite of that. I am dying faster than the weapon's max capabilities.

DICE threw the existing player base under the bus in order to go after a new growth market. But all DICE ended up doing was pulling a Bud Light.

Oh absolutely. If you look at who the Producers and Directors were/are for this title, you will know exactly why we are where we are. If you are more worried about hair color and gender equality, you get a product that reflects those priorities.

I wouldn’t say they threw the community under the bus. They tried something new, and I actually liked that they took bit of a risk. In the end, I don’t really like specialist that much because of stuff like the wing suit, hacking, deployable turret, and scatter grenades. Those are some of the most annoying mechanics in the game in my opinion.
If they kept the current class system and made the specialist just generic soldiers, or better yet, a customizable character. I think that would be pretty awesome. Yes, their little quips were quite cringy haha.
What does Bud Light have to do with anything?

My deaths not equaling 100 dmg is infuriating, especially with no packet loss, and my client hits are not registering at server.
I had 6 deaths in a row, damage log showed less than 100 dmg on all of them. On one, the player that killed me didn't even register damage in the log. Something is seriously messed up with this game right now.
- 2 years ago@SnubbyFighter On Redacted specifically, yes, the hitreg issue is due to a deployable gadget bug. I made this bug happen myself on accident. I was in the north hallway between A and B on breakthrough, placed a Sentinel on top of the sandbags against the wall and then a deployable cover on the ground in the doorway and suddenly no one was able to shoot through the door anymore. At the time I guessed it was because I did that since it was weirdly coincidental, and then proven when they said it was due to too many gadgets. I have video evidence of it, even. You can see my cover in the door and all the gadgets around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sriR8YoEWws

@AdamonicHonestly I think this is some sort of weird lag compensation that kicks in because I've experienced the alpha damage deaths from ARs too. It happens very rarely, though. Like, maybe once or twice a ~4 hour session. I usually assume it's because the person probably has 300+ ping or something.
Personally I definitely do not have issues with hit reg commonly. I mainly use the AEK which is one of the highest ROF guns and I never get "phantom bullets" except specifically on Redacted in specific areas and it's pretty easy to tell when there is a bug in the map instead of the game's actual hit reg. The only times I ever really lose a gunfight is if the other person notices me first and gets the first 1-2 shots off, but I almost always win 1v1 fights. The vast majority of my deaths are from getting teamshot or overrun. Sometimes you might die instantly from being teamshot and it just seems like you got alpha killed. Although you have the metrics there to tell what damage you are taking too.
The game would definitely benefit from having 60hz servers again though, obviously. When I go back and play BF4 again occasionally that game just feels so much more buttery smooth somehow but I can't really explain why it feels like that. Probably since it's slower paced. - 2 years ago@SVND0WN Idk usually hit reg issues are hits getting lost or ignored. What you/Dice describe is what I'd consider as a bug in the gadget conditions causing them to not be lost or ignored but intercepted.
