Well, after playing a few bot Breakthrough games today to level up the RM-68 and the G36 knockoff, and then playing a few actual Breakthrough games...I think I just suck. Or more precisely, I'm a little slow. But I knew that. Reflexes aren't my thing.
Basically, everybody seems to one- or two-shot me while it takes me half a mag of sustained fire to bring them down, but I know that's just the vagaries of playing multiplayer on the Internet so that's no big deal. I'm missing wildly on so many of my shots while the other guys never seem to miss--again, I know that's not completely true but damn does it feel like it. The biggest thing is that basically if I ever have to move out of cover, I'm dead. Instantly. And I never see what gets me until I'm looking at the killcam. Doesn't matter if I'm attacking or defending (and btw, in three games of Breakthrough, the attackers took ONE SECTOR TOTAL, what's up with that?) So I'm going to keep working on bot games and try various weapons until I find something I'm comfortable with, and unlock a few sights and attachments, then just keep sticking with it in real CQ and Breakthrough. It's frustrating but I know I'm rusty, I'm old 🙂, and I never was a stone killer to begin with, and I am having fun in between the frustration. I just wish I felt like I could actually make a difference and help my team even with support work. I never live long enough when I try to revive or heal even when I'm cautious about it and use smokes and cover. But I'll keep at it. That feeling when I can actually pull off a couple kills or take a point or even pull off a couple clutch heals or revives makes it worth it.

Have you tried a tool like Aimlabs "You can get it on Steam" It's a tool to help with aim and accuracy/flick shots and more.
What DPI/in game settings are you playing at maybe reduce your DPI a bit to help with control?
- 2 years ago@sk1lld 1200 dpi I think? I know I run my sensitivity and DPI higher than most people but that's because I'm a little tight on room on my desk. I do need to check game settings and maybe turn my sensitivity down a bit.

Yeah, lower your sensitivity a bit and try again. You may be a little too high.
I play at 800 DPI default in game sensitivity.
