A new sniper rifle, yeah great: sometimes the game is ruined by snipers (useless snipers) waste for their team. Season 5 launch: Sniperfiled

All the current speculation is natural and will continue until we get actual clarification from DICE,
That gives me some hope

I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion.
Personally I don't think 2042 has become "good", it has improved a lot, but it is still a bad BF-game. The existing content is sub-par and it is still too little fun and too many frustrations.
If Dice gets their act together and produces a good new BF-game, instead of more seasons for 2042, I'm all for it (probably a naive hope).

I bet they won't mention anything beyond Season 5, because if they announce that S5 is the last season now, there will be a mass exodus and players will move onto other games immediately.
There will be very little incentive to play Season 5. One new map, one new non-Sniper/Sidearm weapon, and 3 grenades (like we needed more grenades)? That's it for real content.
No new vehicles or aircraft is a bummer.
No new gadgets (RPG is in the trailer), and no new drones (Ranger has an entire category for itself). Something I would love them to do, if they continue with seasons, is to add in additional features. Previous games had call in powers (originally allocated to commanders), and I'd honestly like to see that return. I always liked BFVs support powers system that rewarded squad play. Hell, given the time period, and the series' loose chronology, you could have one call-in vehicle be a kind of prototype mini-mecha. Powers like an airstrike (either a gun run or a bomb), mortars/artillery, resupply, special vehicle/special weapon etc. Something to add a new dynamic.
It'd be a nice new addition to change up the gameplay.

I hope they.do.something about the damn Nightbird. Tonight a damn Nightbird harvester completely * up the game. No big deal just to hover and back so you can't get hit. Ho on devs, make it even more op, why not

I only see "a lot less bad" version than at launch game.
The constant changes to how weapons, gadgets, specialists work, make the game play really frustrating.
The only consistent aspect in BF2042 is the inconsistency.
