VXD is the best all round assault rifle, but it's not omnipotent, and the attachments make you choose hip-fire or ADS bias, with the drawbacks of each. I've lost 100% against the Avancys, lost 100% against any of the PDWs.
Current 971 is weak over distance, very unlike the previous BF 971. Although it still has the bottom left to top right recoil bias from the old days. Almost zero recoil once spec'd up and you keep your finger on the trigger (don't burst it).
I prefer the AC42, a very civilised weapon, but largely outclassed by everything in CQB.
All the guns in this game feel the same they just sound different. In reality the M16 should be OP, being the OG and all 😎
