New Frostbite Engine?
I think we will see the next Battlefield title with a whole new Frostbite engine considering they had to scale back Battlefield 2042 due to last Gen consoles, so I think the next Battlefield will hav...
Let me know what the developers working with the engine say about it. If they say it's finally good to work with and not like trying to build a sandcastle in a sandbox filled with razor blades and needles, and it runs alright on the client side, rad.
Otherwise, I really don't care. EA's * with Frostbite has gotten really tiresome.
Also, the new logo looks bad. Like, a bad heatscan of a hand or something. Not that the logo actually matters beyond a small handful of designers and executives who really care about that kinda thing. https://100001.onl/
Hopefully this means that the next BF is built on this tech - assuming it's decent. But at the same time I'm reminded of just how much time they spent in the leadup to 2042 talking about all the tech updates that Frostbite had received and the absolutely crazy things they could do with storms and oh wow it'd be so impressive and then we got 2042 and we all wondered what the they were talking about.
I just hope the next BF game will be as fluid and immersive as BFV was on a PS4!!!! Yes, the PS4!!!!
What happened to the character animations after BFV in the current game? Guys just check out BFV again. The soldier animation running in front of you look so fluid. No jerky movement, no micro stutters, when the character moved just a bit to the side, it did not slide a bit, it actually lifted a leg and stepped to the side etc. BFV was waaay ahead of its time on a 10 year old hardware. What happened?
Back then they worked on the game a lot. BF2042 file size 70-80 GB.
BFV file size 125GB. It shows in the graphics and animation.
