New squad management is bad and abusive.

1, The timer to lose being the squad leader is TOO FAST. You lose it if you happen to die, which is absurd. Timer should stop or something if you die.

2. The system is already being abused like crazy. People just remove you randomly now. Suddenly you have no squad at all because all others are full, but you are now alone, resulting is a horrible game experience.

3. Similar to point 2, but as always people hate snipers. If you happen to be one. You are kicked from the squad.

4. Let people MAKE their own squads besides the default ones. Indicate custom squads with some kind of marker or something in the name. If someone MAKES one, they become owner and THEN can remove people if they wish. Don't let people remove others from the default squads.

  • Battlefield needs a ranked and unranked option.

It's insane to me why it currently still doesn't exist.

It would keep most players happy.

You'd literally never be kicked from a squad if you were in a ranked game, unless you were there by accident.

And all the farmers would be happy on the unranked servers.

    Mwah........

  • People always boot if you don't revive. Bro I'm not running out in front of that tank so we both get killed.

Any medic worth their salt will always revive you, if it's viable.

One of my pet hates in this game is that request revive " Beep Beep" crap.

Usually it's a squad mate requesting a revive in front of the same guy that literally just killed him/her.

I prefer "Beep beep's" to be spots of these foes and let the medic revive you if it's feasible, cause they will anyway.

    I do ask a lot..

The timer could be a bit longer.

Creating a new squad would also be nice.

The other two points, I disagree with.

As for kicking snipers... I always give them a chance to prove themselves because who knows, they could be beneficial. Even if they want to camp on the outskirts of the map, as long as they are getting kills and don't go 0-10, I'll keep them.

But why kick them? They will still be on your team just different squad. ( I am not a sniper) Snipers could be the best help if you turn on your microphone and while you run around tell them which enemy player to take out. Ping the guy and talk to the sniper. You both will feel good. Cheers.

You described the unicorn scenario where the sniper is in a good position, competent and willing to cooperate.

What the others describe is the common scenario where they  die on an objective and the closest living squadmate is a sniper in a uselessly distant location trying to bodyshot enemies between getting sniped back

I totally feel you, but this game is a magnitude better playing with friends so I tried and tried and talked to people and from about 50 people I talked to, 3 of them are still my good friends I play with regularly . I say it was worth it. You have to work on friendships. Most of the time it starts with us. Be friendly and sound like you are a fun guy, non abusive, no f bombs etc. Your squad mates most of the time hear you, they will turn on their headsets if they like what they hear. Start with a thank you when they revive you or point out some danger to them etc. laugh a lot, good luck. Cheers!

True, I play BF with my RL friends since BF4. Now in BF2042 we usually play together once a week and those sessions are way more fun than my solo sessions with randoms. But that goes for any game.

During BFV we joined a platoon and made us some new firends. We had a nice mix of nationalities with likeminded people. Funny times! Due to BFV support ending, and BF2042 launch being a disaster nobody in the platoon picked up on this game. The lack of any proper platoon support was detrimental to that as well. And the basics of platoon support is proper squad management functionality which has been absent for way too long. Now we finally get some of the basic fundamentals, but it's too late.

    ^THIS!
A good medic runs smoke grenades to conceal a revive when necessary. For those who don't, did you know you get extra XP for a concealed revive? 😉

When I'm downed I always try to ping the enemy so my squad mates know where the danger is coming from. I expect them to eliminate the threat first before rushing in to revive, or at least use smoke to conceal the revive and give me a fair chance of getting out of harms way. Only when I think it's safe from my POV I hit the request revive button, so I've either seen my killer getting killed in the killcam or he has moved on.
