Some type of better matchmaking for lobbys probobly based on KD. Start the game with consoles only xbox/ps and then have the option to cross-platform with pc and you will more then likely keep lobby...
@caliburn45 PC player here. No doubt about it, PC players do have an unfair advantage over console players. Our hardware is going to be more powerful than that of a console in most cases. And having to aid console players with various crutches (aim-assist, less recoil, and whatever else you get) in order for you to be competitive against PC players, is not the answer. To me, those console-crutches are nothing more than Dice-legalized cheats. And guess what, that's unfair to PC players. If they have to provide various crutches for console players to be somewhat competitive against PC players, then that alone proves cross-play should be done away with. But hey, if they can make the game so that we're all on the same level playing field, such as offering M&K support to console players, and nothing more, then maybe cross-play could work. Until then, I prefer Battlefield to go back to its roots and only match PC against PC. And let console players be matched only against themselves. This way we can all be happy. And I have a few friends who play on a console, yet they agree. Besides, seeing console players constantly crying about PC players being too OP, or that we're all hacking, has gotten tiresome to see.😃

Okay, I've got to run for now. I have some console critters to go and slay with my big, bad, beastly PC! 😃
I mostly agree. The exception is: i do NOT want M&K on console. The entire reason i got a PS5 is to play in the living room on the couch on the big tv with a controller causally having fun, just like in the previous BF titles.
Of all the similar threads I've read about cross-play, you're the only one I've seen that did not want M&K support. From what I've read, M&K support is what everyone has been begging for. You could still continue to use your controller if you wish. I'd much rather Dice give console players M&K support than to give them legalized cheats for playing with a controller. I'm actually confused as to why there is no M&K support for console players in this game, while PC players have the option to play with a controller.
Let's hope Dice gets all this nonsense sorted out for the next BF release.

Forum posts represent maybe 1% of the player base. Of course everyone on the forums go for M&K. The other 99% casual players that are not on forums i bet don't want M&K support.
I personally want no crossplay at all. I gladly give up aim assist and other helpers against PC players if i can play in console lobbies only. And i have to stress this again: a toggle will not work. As i said before more and more people will turn crossplay on to find a lobby faster and it will lead to the current situation. Let's stop fixing crossplay issues. Let's do the obvious that worked for 20 years: delete crossplay from the game entirely. I know console players do not want to play against PC players. Are PC players ok playing against other PC players only? If yes, it is solved. Lets get rid of the damn thing.
