i thought the scoreboard was this week
It is. But what you are seeing tomorrow is just the first iteration of the updated Scoreboard that we've made based on player feedback. There's more coming, such as the Scoreboard being present during End of Round screens.
- 4 years ago@EchoBeach They're bragging about it taking months to build from scratch on Twitter.
I mean...imagine in the year of our lord 2022 that a FPS developer with a decades-long history working on a franchise bragging about taking months to build a basic feature that's been a part of every iteration of the game.
If there was ever any confusion, I think we can agree that DICE has lost all self awareness. - 4 years ago
I don't know if people realize this but...they are really selling these functions as "features". It's unreal and im still in disbelief what happened to the BF franchise. Server B, scoreboard, All chat, VOIP - these are not something that will bring people back to play this game. Im not sure how a developer can be so detached from reality and i don't mean any disrespect but its painful to watch this franchise collapse onto it "woke" self. Esp since game was priced as a MP only game, yet they left out all of the BASIC functions.
While its neat that they somewhat listen after people lamented lack of scoreboard since release, there is no way will be reinstalling the game just for that.Edit: And of COURSE the scoreboard is half baked. So there is no proper display of your score at the END of a match? But during the gameplay i can hit tab and see it? In what world do we live in when a AAA developer cannot do something so so so basic. No, the other 50 % of the scoreboard is now coming in April. lol.
Really, i want my money back and my memory WIPED so i never have to remember 2042 ever again.
good luck.- cso77774 years agoSeasoned Ace@Buzzfunk The biggest problem is that most of the maps are still almost unplayable for infantry (not fun) and we get no new content for probably 3 more months.
The game is not dying because of a missing scoreboard - it is not fun to play and it is lacking content.
It is a disgrace for Dice and EA and we are allowed to feel "cheated upon".- 4 years ago@cso7777 Yes. And i've said this before. Hence making core elements like a scoreboard a "feature" is a nice way to divert from the real issues at hand. And the real issues cannot be fixed by simply updating some maps with more cover. Even a few new weapons now wouldn't change a thing and would not make me want to reinstall it.
Every previews BF launched with a road map. They dont give one out because they dont have one or would not like to say now well S1 is only one new map and a specialist. Dice hasn't come clean and the 'feedback loop" proves it. At this point, Id be the best to flat out admit that the game will never become what most of us wanted it to be. Offering a scoreboard, something so basic with a few new skins, isn't going to cut it.
Id rather wait a year and have them start from scratch. All of these updates feel like adding insult to injury. IMO.

@Straatford87 "....never thought that a scoreboard would pose such a challenge for an AAA developer."
Seeing what the BattleBit guys accomplished, its baffling hearing some of the things DICE are struggling with with this game. - Kona_uk4 years agoSeasoned Ace@EchoBeach They are not a AAA developer this game proves that.
Scoreboard has taken so long as no one was working on it.- 4 years ago
With all this issues this game has a score board is right at the bottom of the list!
Many other issues should of been prioritised well before a silly scoreboard

The most disappointing part is VOIP, Server Browser, scoreboard were all mentioned way back in OCTOBER. So these are not something "since launch", these have been something known for 5+ months now.
I didn't mind WW1 and WW2 games but was really looking forward to some modern warfare in the BF franchise since BF4 and this is what we got?
