NO MKB and Joystick support for consoles?

This is absolutely inexcusable.  With cross-play, which is the ONLY way to actually find a game on 2042, players forced to use only a controller cannot even compete with MKB players on the ground and are a MASSIVE disadvantage in any aircraft vs a HOTAS user that's on PC.  I played DICE games from day one of BF1942, the amazing Desert Combat mod, through Bad Company 2 religiously with thousands of hours in the air, and absolutely hands down they were the best FPS games around.  CoD wasn't even close to as good imo, mostly because of the air combat aspect.

Current gen consoles have full native MKB support.  The UI code ALREADY EXISTS for it .  Not porting it over for console players is absolutely the worst kind of kick in the face to those of us who don't have high end gaming rigs.

If MKB and Joystick (HOTAS) isn't added for console players I'll never pay money or support a DICE game ever again.  That's very disappointing, especially from the best FPS franchise ever, up until now.

  • @Airborn-HardwareHOTAS isn’t available for PC either, which is almost as ridiculous that M&K isn’t available for consoles. It’s like they had no idea what players use to play their game. People have been asking since release so don’t get your hopes up. The thread about it is one of the biggest in the forums so it’s not like they’re unaware. (Not to mention Reddit and streamers who’ve talked about it) The only joystick that seems to work ok is the Logitech 3D Pro which came out in 2003. 2003! True HOTAS sticks like the X52 and newer don’t work.
  • Right?   I have been a Dice fan from day one, BF1942 and the amazing Desert Combat mod for same.   Played BF games religiously through Bad Company 2 (on ps3).   There’s absolutely NO excuse for Dice going backwards and removing input device options.  MW2 has native MKB for consoles….  Being a veteran pilot not having the option to use my x52 (original Saitek that still works like brand new), it really makes me lean towards never touching a dice product again.  The most skilled user can’t compete using a controller on the ground vs a competent MKB user.  I guess Dice has fully embraced the EA philosophy of not caring about thier customer base?   Very sad
