It's not like it's a setting you cannot change. Or a setting that is hard to find. I mean, c'mon, it's the first .. the very first option when you open Settings (Xbox).
You don't like it turned on... turn it off.
It's just like all the other settings.. items YOU have control over. Want better performance.... turn down graphics settings and/or lower audio fidelity.
Now, if you were FORCED to have X-Play turned on, and have no control over it, that would be something that would be a factor when deciding to buy a game or not.
