Whats even more sad is that the stadium is being called a "new map". I look forward to playing it, but I was more excited to hear about 2 new maps. I was hoping for a 128 map before they don't get made anymore.
It should technically be released right now with haven. Then a second new map in May.

I think they said at some point like a year ago they were done making 128 maps.

I think they said at some point like a year ago they were done making 128 maps.Yep that sounds right, especially with breakthrough I know they killed any possibilities of 128 and then shortly thereafter stopped separate dev on 128 new maps, probably a hell of a lot easier to make for both gens of devices.

Why was 96 players never considered an option?
- Anobix1 year agoSeasoned Ace@CPU_UK I imagine because 64 has long-been the standard player count of most battlefield's and it was easier for them to just double the count instead of adding by 50%.
Maybe 96 would have a better feel to it, but honestly no matter the player count (16v16, 32v32, 50v50, 64v64, etc) the maps and gameplay design and flow are all incredibly important for have everything feel smooth/right. It doesn't matter how good the gunplay is if the maps are just open fields or hills, and similarly you can have perfect/nostalgia-filled maps, but it doesn't help if the gunplay and balance isn't there.
