Noob question. Why can't I fire my gun when getting hit with bullets?

Maybe this is a noob question but when I'm using the NTW-50 and I'm being hit with bullets the game stops me firing my rifle.

Is this intentional?

  • @Tank2042Man ive never had that happen to me.

I know MAV, TFV, and Tank vs Tank causes you to lose your aim, but not prohibit you from firing.

i'd submit that one to DICE as a bug.

I have come across that sometimes I thought it was some kind of flinch mechanic.

@Tank2042Man It might depend on what is hitting you.
There was/is a mechanic, that explosions near you stagger your specialist.
I remember they tuned down the staggering effect, but it might be still around for reloads and firing.
Also I think that head shot hits stagger your specialist.

Are you sure youre not flinching, personally?

The other reason may be, if its a smg, that the bullets give a pushback on the reloading sequence.  Youre using a sniper rifle that is already a slow load.

I've had this happen with a couple of different weapons and feel it's a bug. It's frustrating when it happens for sure.

  • Same here. Seems to be a bug. Sometimes I press the mouse button and nothing happens when having full aim on enemy - and then I’m killed in an instant by the enemy. Also sometimes my assault weapons seems to “miss” a bullet - no sound is played for a shot when in full auto. I think it has something to do with bad netcode. Although I mostly have a ping of 20 ms or below up to 30 or 40% of my client hits are not registered on the server.

Same here, I actually thought I had run out of ammo when it happened, very weird.
