Not able to join servers with more than 4 players to play together

We also have a clan and are very frustrated that we cannot play with more than 4 and people don’t want to split 3 and 3 or 2 and 2. Needs to be fixed or make xp grind same in portal. Second question is it possible to play with more than 4 in portal? Sounds like it from these comments. But unsure!
