There is a dullness to it. There seems to be a lack of vibrancy. Edges of objects seem a little soft. It is boring to look at. The color pallet needs an upgrade. And the shipping containers. If I don't ever see another shipping container it will be too soon. The only ones I want to see are the ones holding large shipments of RTX video cards.

Frostbite is definitely starting to show it's age and forced TAA is not helping. "Surprised" they are still not offering better AA options after two games of complaints about TAA.

@DaveTheBrave_USA I was feeling the same thing, its like not much different graphically then bf3. I like the fact i can play without lag or stuttering or anything lol, but I didnt expect to get over 100fps on ultra, and still look like a 10 yr old game. I mean, even the destruction of buildings/objects is lacking big time compared to bf1 or 5

Yeah something is off about it. Its quite bland and blocky. Washed out or something.. Definitely not as nice looking and atmospheric as the last few battlefield games..

While BF1/5 looked nice they had a visual clutter making it harder to identify foes. I'm very happy that DICE went back to BF4 style visuals as it's easier to spot enemies and there's less graphical clutter.

Yeah something is off about it. Its quite bland and blocky. Washed out or something..
Definitely not as nice looking and atmospheric as the last few battlefield games..

@DaveTheBrave_USA I disagree. The game looks incredible. Now that said, I am playing at 4K on Ultra.

What seems off to me however is the sound. It feels flat, and footsteps are obnoxiously loud.

Yeah, the new maps are just very blah and nothing special about them. I can’t remember the one with the wrecked ship and that was the only one that felt like it was thought out and completed

If it's easier to spot the enemies you can't prove it by me. Of course they have no problem spotting me and I am often dead before I can pull the trigger. I am running at 1440P with a i9-11900K and a RTX 3070ti and a Samsung G7 monitor. Still it's hard to make out enemies.

@DaveTheBrave_USA I'm running on medium settings 1440p with a i7-8700, RTX 2070OC at 3440x1440. I'm playing Portal with 3D spotting but even when enemies are not spotted I'm having little issue seeing them even at distance when it was an issue for me at most distances in BF1/5.

You must have better pixel discernment than I do. I stick to my assertion that the graphics seem bland. I think I'm going to quit Portal and stick to the main game and try those maps. See you there!
