New to Battlefield games? They've had anti-materiel rifles in the game since Battlefield 2. Both the M95 and M82 have been staple anti-materiel rifles for the sniper class and have been used very effectively against enemy soldiers and vehicles alike.
I don't remember taking out tanks with either rifle, but I have taken out helicopters, quads, players, APC's and boats, but not sure about tanks.
Yeah, the ability for it to take out a tank is pretty stupid (the recoiless rifle, mines and C5 do a good job already). Should the 50 be able to take out a tank? Probably not. Should it be able to annoy a tank? Yes!!
Besides, EA already announced they are going to nerf it, so it may do less damage to tanks. Hopefully they don't reduce the damage output it does to LAV's or the stupidly powerful Bolte!
