Official Hardcore servers !
Hi folks. I'm really scared when between every speculations and rumors i saw Community Managers from EA saying that official HC servers won't ever happen. Telling us that, well, there is Portal for ...
@ragnarok013 sorry but, this is sounds a little like BS excuse ^^. I can't buy that as official EA excuse. People don't look at the flag or the face of the people they were shooting at to make sure friend or foe, we are not in Tarkov. We always had the name tag above our teammate. No nametag, open fire.

EA really have to stop pretending this is why HC been removed
@VRACinque as a long time Battlefield hard core player your statement is false for me and my friend group. We all took that extra half second to identify friend from foe so we don't get kicked from the server for friendly fire which is why on the odd occasion we played core it took a few rounds to get back into twitch firing.
Regarding a name tag in HC that has been implemented differently in different Battlefield titles. In BF3/4 there was a friendly name tag, in BF1 all of the HC servers that I played in had name tags turned off but that may be because it's listed as a custom game mode in BF1 - so there's some room to help address specialists looking the same but it's still a friendly fire nightmare waiting to happen with everyone looking identical. I've never played Tarkov so I can't comment on that but in Battlefield a faction uniform is essential for friend from foe identification even with different HUD aspects that we don't have that with Specialists.

Glad you guys are taking the time to see how people look like, that's cool ! Would be curious to know how many people do that.
We are not speaking about custom servers here, we are already forced to go deal with Portal if we want hardcore, we are speaking about official hardcore, which means friendly nametag above players. Any comparison with any custom servers in any opus of this game can't be an argument against official HC.
It never been a bloodbath in any BF (and i'm speaking for more than just from BF3). And if people were really that dumb that even with a blue/green name tag above friendly they'll kill, it would already be a bloodbath in Portal. While the only teamkill are just : a FEW accidents, or troll just here for TK (so they clearly know they shoot friendly)
I'll say it again, EA can't go with thisexcuse because we know it's true. Btw even in Portal the mode Hardcore is completely flawed. It's either switch off all the HUD, or keep all the HUD just with the map offline ... all in all it just seems that EA just don't care about HC anymore
