All a matter of taste I guess. I like my music a little bit "broken" the same as I like my games.🙂

Aw, they did so well with the soundtracks the last couple of games but this sounds like the Battlefield 5 of Battlefield soundtracks. Reminds me of this old video

Have to say I dont like the one for 2042

The Battlefield theme is such an iconic piece of music (for us fans at least 🙂 ), and yet these two composers chose to utterly mangle it.

I can’t believe DICE actually approved this - it’s an almost unrecognizable bunch of noise.

Super disappointed.

Really like the dark vibes, but that terrifying sound is really hurting my ears. Doesnt sound like music at all to mee, except for the first 30-45 seconds.

Btw. the idea behind this theme might have been: “We have a broken world in BF2042, so it makes sense the theme should be broken too”. But damn…couldn’t the composers have made a version called “Battlefield 2042 Theme (broken)” and then included another piece that was a kick-a** modern version of the BF theme. They could distort and mangle the crap out of it, if only they made sure it was in a musical way that would make everyone go “holy cow this rocks!”

Christ that's bad.  I listen to just about every genre and this is just plain hard to listen to.  It's a soundtrack that could be played while I'm on the toilet after a night of heavy drinking and Taco Bell.

I could probably make the bf theme with a series of burps and farts and it would sound better than that.
