I am one that has waited for a solo ot coop PvE focused BF game like the games of old and I like what was done.
IMO, the other BF games may be better for MP, I'm not sure, buy I know this was designed for us solo players and those who play coop PvE with AI bots.
All that said, the game needs player full solo player progression. Please allow us who play with bots feel the benefit of ribbon progression.
I'm playing BF3 VU fun bot mod now, it's much more fun than this rubbish game (2042), 16 vs 16 single-player game, playing on a vast map is just a fool and rubbish, portal now prohibits modifying the number of AI, I really The suggestion that they deleted the AI, such a rubbish AI customization function, is not even as free as a MOD created by a player himself
@MasterBlaster73there is a large thread already on here on page 2 at the moment I think, of thousands of comments over 220 pages trying to get back full xp and prog in solo/coop (also want it back in custom portal). This subject has pretty much been completely ignored, even though it has one of the biggest threads here.
They have actually just lowered xp in solo/coop given from AI, and lowered the count of Conquest from 32 to 16 a team. They are making solo/coop worse because they probably trying to get those left playing into MP, even though with no server browser a lot of people cant even get in online.
We have been trying to fight this for a long time (check out the megathread), but Dice just throw their heads in the sand and hopes it goes away.
Well that sucks. Especially when you consider who BF2042 was made for.
Looking into this further, not only do I not get ribbon progression with bots, the ribbon progression gained in MP is not rewarded in bot play? No excuse for that.
