Only 22 Guns?

With the leak going around, it seems Battlefield 2042 only has 22 guns. This can't be right, can it?

I think my post got you a little confused. I'm basically saying Battlefield 2042 only has 22 weapons in total. I'm saying that's very limited being a modern shooter is all.

@Popa2caps Upon release, sure.

There is absolutely no way in hell that Battlefield 2042 will only have 22 weapons in total.

I would love to see an official source.

I'm not sure if I can link the leak, but type "A player has managed to access Battlefield 2042". An Xbox player got into the game and is posting videos and pictures of anything people ask for.

  @Popa2capsI am aware of that event… and there is nothing official about it. Even using common sense and assuming that player accessed an official server, he is still just a brand new player with nothing unlocked yet…
  
  I am assuming you have played a Battlefield game and thus know that more weapons get unlocked as you play the game?

    Oh, yes I'm aware you level up to gain access to weapons. I'm sure Hazard zone might have some locked ones this person hasn't seen yet. So far though, only 22 weapons in total even adding the locked ones the player can't use yet because of their level.
    
    Just to be clear, I'm not adding the portal weapons with this total number. I'm just talking about the new weapons no one has yet to use.

@carsono311 This is also possibly true.
Im fairly sure the screenshot didnt show everything, it may have only been what was currently unlocked or unlockable at his / her level.

Obviously there is all the portal guns, but yeah, base game, im really hoping there will be more.

  @nickmajicI am 100% confident there will be and I am looking forward to trying them all… I would even welcome some futuristic, exotic ones… as long as they are well-balanced of course… lol. (I know that is a stretch.)

22 guns really doesnt bother me. I can only shoot 1 at a time anyway and the types of guns cover what I like. ARs, LMGs, and handguns. Thats all I need.
