Option to kick players

An option/optional/opinion to kick players that are teamkilling or forgive em.

Something like in "Halo" after a teammate

Has killed/friendly-fire other teammates in

Any game modes

Team killing is mainly just 'an issue' in the hardcore mode where friendly fire is enabled.

And we have previously had options to set parameter for how many team kills (TKs) before a player is automatically kicked off.  And again a parameter for how many kicks before an auto-ban is imposed.  And if playing this type of masochistic gameplay is your thing, then you also recognize that the occasional TK is simply not avoidable.  * does (also) happen in hardcore. 🙂

So if you cannot take the TK happening from time to time, then HC mode is not for you, as its in implicit part of that gameplay.

Those measures have for the most part worked very well also in the past, so dont see why they wouldn't suffice for us also in BF2042.

Then of course, you do also have the sinister griefers, that goes to silly lengths to avoid the kicks/bans just to harass other players.  And some even ganging up as a group of mobsters.  So if playing on DICE-run servers, all you can do is report them, as it is against the TOS.  Though in practice, think most HC players will go to the Portal in BF2042 to get their daily hardcore fix.  And there the good servers will have active admins, who also can weed out those griefers and ban them off.

All in all, I do not see this as any worrisome subject.  We have the access to kick/ban, so the community will develop and apply as relevant.

Maybe in Portal you can adjust some settings for that type of thing too if friendly fire is on or not.

Cause then some setting for Teamkilling will be needed (something like in BF4 Hardcore, where you get kicked automatically after a few Teamkills). Otherwise this will be a full mess of people that just try to be annoying to others by killing them without getting kicked.

Also later on we'll see if we also get Hardcore servers in general. Or even a RSP where you can set all your own settings about that if you rent your own server.

    Greets,
