I watched the video and read some of the comments, one stuck out.
"This game is a love letter to the BF community”
Proceeds to add specialist system and literal x-ray vision"
Haha
@Popa2caps LOL I agree. 2042 seems more like a love letter to Apex and Warzone fans after playing the Beta.

I honestly can't compare Battlefield 2042 beta to Apex Legends, COD. If I had to choose a game that mostly compares, it would be Ghost Recon Breakpoint with a stuck first person mode. Apex Legends has super good character movement, COD: has amazing textures for weapons and/ or attachments overall with fast gameplay.
Looking at the Specialists side, I still can't compare them. Legends in Apex Legends are far superior in design and/ or creativity and COD operators aren't locked to specific gadgets.
How many people are making the connection with Specialists to COD Operators, but don't directly play COD themselves That's not directed at you, I'm just wondering.

If we're going to have 128 players spamming motion sensors and wallhack abilities then we need specialists with radar jamming abilities to counter them.
As well as sensor jamming EMP grenades which disables all motion sensors and wallhack perks in the area for 10 seconds.

Which will just make the game into an endless "nerf this, buff that" -competition in every update.
Are players really that helpless they need a fuc*king wallhack to help them get kills. A load of rubbish.

lol suggesting a fix for something you haven't used.
also they've had stuff like this before. It fits in with the hyper modern "2042" theme of the game.
IT will be fine. Useful in some situations. Not in others. Cooldown, distance it works at and the length of time enemies remain spotted are the balance adjustment levers that will be pulled. Perhaps in the opposite direction you think.
- RaginSam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@trip1ex Exactly, there’s so many options on how to balance things in games.
Everyone needs to stop panicking and see how it turns out. We haven’t had a chance to play the full game yet. Being able to spot someone on the other side of the wall doesn’t guarantee a kill. If the scan only last a second you could potentially bait people pretty easily with it.
People would complain about me wall-hacking all the time on Metro because I’m pretty good at tracking people with sound alone. The maps look like they’re going to be big. How long is the range on the scan? A few meters?
You might get some big moments, but that doesn’t mean it’s broken. I’ve gotten away with some big flanks that I couldn’t believe in every BF game without any equipment. It’s going to happen regardless of your load out and abilities.
