Yeah pathetic really. !!
No surprises at at all.
We get voip, although I'd like to know what the definitions of party and squad are, and we finally get a finished scoreboard.
Other than that, just bug fixes. Lots of them. Which is less a cause for celebration, and rather more a case of a game shipping with way too many bugs.
No new content, no server browser, no performance improvements, nothing to aid organized play.
It should also be noted that this was a long awaited slate of fixes that was delivered later than Dice said it would be.
To be fair, this update while late is the first one to actually deliver what was promised. And not an iota more.
A small advance.
I'm sure devs are relieved to get this out of the way, but their job is far from over. This patch alone will not save 2042, nor will it attract back a lot of players. However it could be a good platform to build from, as long as Dice don't dawdle as much next time. Another five months before the next major update would be entirely unacceptable.
It's time for Dice to get to work, and if they think they've done enough to date, they have another think coming.
@TAW_Rinkothis is a big patch, but shows that they are just fighting to keep this thing afloat rather than advancing the game to where it needs to be. We are still in a beta state without the things you mentioned that are still lacking in the game. I would love to get to that level prior to S1, but now doubt we will.
I can imagine there will only be a small bug fix patch in 6 weeks and then the S1 drop in 12-14 weeks from now. Without any new content between now and then, no server browser, no platoon/squad updates, and no performance improvements, I don't know who is coming back for just a EOR scoreboard and limited VOIP.
13 fixes for Hazard Zone, has anyone even played this mode lately? Why put that much effort into fixes for a dead game mode? Put those resources towards an AOW Server Browser.

I heard that hazard zone was so unpopular they stopped counting how many people were playing a week or two after launch. May not be true, but it certainly sounds plausible.
I think this bug list is not one that was wholly written in response to player feedback, I think this is the list of bugs they knew about before launch. Hence the inexplicable focus on hazard zone.
If Dice have any intention to save the player base, and if they don't who the hell do they think will buy the next game, they need to speed up how often they add content or fix bugs.
I'd like to see additional portal maps quickly. These ought to be relatively easy to do, compared to the long slate of other tasks on the list. Frankly, I think we ought to be getting one added every couple of weeks. Portal is where the best value can be found in 2042, but its getting stale. It desperately needs more maps.
Unless I’m missing something they avoided the specifics of the vehicle count and vehicle cooldown changes. I quit playing this game when they announced it and I will not be coming back if they actually go through with it in conquest
@TAW_Rinkoyeah I agree on the Portal maps, and it is a completely different studio compared to the one doing the launch bug fixes.
I still find it extremely odd that they are putting so much effort into Hazard Zone when there are other game breaking things to address. It seems like they don't prioritize any of the fixes.
