I've played with and without crossplay. without, my hit reg is much more consistent, but with the lack of players, I still get OHK from higher ping players.
people really need to educate themselves a bit better, on how games work, before blaming one thing or another.
there is no one magical button to fix this. this game is so broken at the core, I doubt it will ever get fixed.
It might not be an issue of how it’s implemented, but the constraints of the different networks. It’s not just this game either.

@RaginSam not to be that guy, but if its not implemented right, it isn't going to work right. implementing it correctly is working with the constraints of different networks, so they work correctly with each other.
other games have made it work, and others haven't. so its possible, Dice just needs to stop making massive maps for huge player numbers, and work on solidifying the foundation of the game. cause in the end if it isn't fun to play, people will stop playing. which they have.

How do we know the map size is even an issue? Some of the maps are pretty big, but BF has had pretty big maps in the past as well. That’s not really new.
I also disagree with lowering player counts and making maps smaller. There’s a couple that need reworks, but they’re in the process of doing that.- 3 years ago@RaginSam LOL. Its not speculation.
when you shoot someone, then stop, and a moment later, they die. that's called lag. when you get killed in one shot by a gun that is incapable of killing in one shot, that's lag. this happens due to bad net code and lag comp. its compounded when you have 128 players in one game. that's 128 different connections that bad netcode and lag comp has to deal with. on top of that, add low player count and you have 128 players from all over the world with widely different connections. this means people with a ping of 20 are playing against players with a ping of 150. this makes the experience nearly unplayable.
this isn't speculation, its what's happening right now. just watch your in game network graph.
I'd be fine with large maps an high player numbers if they could make a game with good netcode and lag comp.
right now, they need to fix the core of the game, not make giant maps for 128 players.
but whatever helps you sleep at night.- DaveTheBrave_USA3 years agoSeasoned Ace@TwentyValve I think that's the most likely culprit that has a lot of people frustrated. Makes it look like you're getting shot through a wall or something.
