    @GrrRumblebee you have to activate it in the options, afterwards if you create a portal server it will stay persistent for 7 days

@creepnpeep so odd, I created EA Forums Test Server. Not visible in the Custom tab (or anywhere). When I sort any tab, the minimum amount of players is 1.

Yeah, that is odd.
What is “EA Forums Test Server”?
Is that just what you called a server you created?

I have many servers, all created using the portal builder.
I don’t seem to have any trouble getting my server to stay on the browser - even though the game’s UI is a bit clunky

    @creepnpeep yes, that is the one I created. Can you see it? Are you on PC or Console? I am on PC and have never seen a server with 0 players.

    @AdamonicKeep in mind the search feature is pretty bad as it’s affected by filters that aren’t intuitive at all. A buddy made a server and I had a hell of a time finding it, I had to turn something off in the filter (was a while back and I don’t recall it sorry mate) before I finally found it. I know you’re experienced but I’m still going to throw out some basics. You need persistent servers on, which I rad that you did, so check. You need to create the server and you need to make sure it’s saved. The portal editor should show you a yellow folder. When you get into game, it should show your “experiences”. I can see mine and they’re not persistent (I have mine off). That’ll just confirm they exist. I’m going to look in a little bit for your forum server, and will repost later.

    And @creepnpeep, I get crashes in the server even with persistence off. I had a second map load last night that had no spawn points. Showed the flags and the map and everything, but no spawns. I had to back out and restart which of course takes me back to the first map.

    @ATFGunr Yup, it often happens when a map doesn’t load properly. Can’t spawn, text-on-text at the top of the screen and other anomalies.
    Results in needing to restart the map.
    Really annoying. Because if this happens, and the admin isn’t there to restart the map/ server, it means no one can join the server.

    @ATFGunr thanks, yep, I tried every combination of those. What I don't understand is why I cannot see ANY servers with 0 players. So to me, there are no persistent servers, because if there were, a lot of them would have 0 players over a 7-day period. Just in the Custom Tab, can you see a bunch of servers with 0 players? If you make one, can you see yours?

    @Adamonic On PS5, you can see custom servers with no players in them.
    I can also see my own persistent server.

    Thanks, must be a bug. No matter what I do, I can never see any servers with 0 players.

    @Adamonic 

    I believe the portal browser interface is limiting the total number of server's listed to a relatively small number when it refreshes, and it seems to deprioritize the servers with zero players.

    If I switch the region filter to one that has low population right now (e.g. Oceania, South America, Asia) then I see a bunch of servers with 0 players. If I select Europe or North America or Any I see no servers with 0, unless I specifically filter by another category which reduces the total (e.g. name).

    So, it seems like "Any" is really a lie and it's probably only showing a subset of ones that have a better ping and those are all populated right now, or it's removing the ones with 0 players when the list output is too large.

    @Adamonic Day late but I spent some time looking for your server, no luck. I do see custom servers with zero players. I see pings from 159 to 27 so I think that's multiple regions. Again silly but did you try turning persistent server off then on? I think if you made the server first, then turned persistent on, it won't work. You need to make the experience when your game already has it to on. Did you do that? I'm just throwing darts here bud.

    @ATFGunr yeah, tried that. Tried every combination of the filter toggles suspecting one may be incorrectly labeled.

    So it seems that very few servers with 0 players will just show up in any of the normal tables. However, you can search for that server, but for me, finding it, especially one I created is pretty rare. So after creating a server with known filter options, literally recreating the same server with a different name (then searching for that specific word), I only found my server 2 times in 10 tries.

    I just don't understand why all the servers are not listed. They may be persistent, but most are invisible. Thanks to everyone who assisted.

    @Adamonic Hi mate.
    Ok, I did some testing.
    I’m on PS5.
    If I set crossplay to OFF, I can see my server on the browser, even when it has zero players in it.
    If I set crossplay to ON, I cannot see my server on the browser!

    So I think this is a bug.
    Is this what you find?
    Do you have crossplay on or off?
    If you have it ON, eben turn it off and see if you can see your server

    I've had trouble sometimes finding a persistent server but I can see tons with 0 players.  Make sure when you search you search by "Experience Name" and not "Server Name".  I believe the server name is the server number. 

    Sometimes it is better to reduce the search tags I've found.  For example, instead of "Frontlines 2042 128p" , you would search just "Frontlines".  I've had better luck here and there by doing that. 

    Also just to make the implemented rules for Persistent servers clear: 

    - Must own the Premium Battle Pass

    - The option for Persistent Servers must be enabled from the Options menu

    -  A persistent Server will remain up for 7 days

    - if even one player joins the server then the 7 day counter will reset and resume the countdown to expire when there are no more players joined.

    @robert5974 thanks. My case is so weird. I can make a server, give people the info, and no one can see it. I have Premium.

    Also, in the custom tab, when I sort by players, low to high, the lowest number of players is 1. Never zero.
