@PsubondNo support, sneaking up with rocket when you hide, nope.lol, i don't expect support from pilots. pilots don't want balance.
if a missile is slower, less agile and has less range then something should be given back to allow the skill of positioning and knowing when to fire (when the pilots aren't looking) to be a viable strategy. right now the pilots get a multi second siren letting them know they need to jink (they don't even need to know where it's coming from, just that they need to jink)
like i said, i don't expect pilots to go along with anything resembling fair play. they want to be omnipetent farming machines and don't think that any counter should exist
I do want balance. I should never ever ever ever ever die to any of you AA rats though because just how much better I am. How is that not clear?

@3DiE9djua2 @Psubond @Kona_uk That's why it was impossible to avoid in some hundreds of cases. (First clip only emulates sound, i didn't have side deaths left.) but when it comes from the side, you wont see it and icon in many cases didn't show up. And for "jinks", these were problems. This is fair case.

Your just a poor player who want's to farm easy infantry kills with no skill simple. Now get back in your hole and stay there.
- Man_iLoveFishing3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Kona_ukYep, that must be it! Now move on if you have/got/can't give constructive feedback.

@Man_iLoveFishing That video is fair and illustrates your experience. It seems you are suffering from desync a lot which may also be the reason you have issues with hearing the tgm earlier (?). It looks like the first example with the sound also had some desync issue. If you stop the video on the frames around 00:02.11 (in video clock) you see it going to your left.
I have never experienced anything like that and even from that glacier I have heard tgms coming way earlier than in the video whether it is in heli, in a ground vehicle or simply on foot. I also see plenty of pilots react to my own tgms the moment I shoot them from the side or behind so they are also hearing the tgm much earlier than in the video. However it seems we have different experiences when it comes to how early the sound is heard so there's no point continuing that discussion. Maybe a bug report should be made regarding all the desync.
But in the end this have nothing to do with the current nerf on the tgm. As I previously said the tgm pre buff was fine and there were no reason to start messing with it. tgm after the last patch is more like a glorified recoilless so far. Of course I need to use them more to adapt but my opinion is still that the last nerf was going overboard just like the previous buff was overboard the other way.

@disabled_tweekerAh yes, the pilot entitlement. “I spent a lot of time practicing to become the good pilot I am now, so it should require TEAMWORK to shoot me down” - which is said knowing fully well that teamwork has been in short supply in every Battlefield game since the dawn of time.Is it? The devs agree. They literally told you to get better at the game. Cry more for me.

@disabled_tweeker wrote:Is it? The devs agree. They literally told you to get better at the game. Cry more for me.
Actually, no. They increased the skill cap to make it better for you. That wasn't a get better statement. They did it to
Ease up on the vehicle player experience.
The translation here is DICE thinks vehicle pilots skill is capped and has to make it harder on others so you can have it easier to farm. To your benefit, they are making it easier.
I wonder how the no vehicle portals will affect vehicle play? How many people playing infantry will flee to portal only games. It would be a shame if there wasn't enough of a population for pilots to spawn a game....... ☹️

@Padding_Ur_StatsWrong, DICE clearly saw that it was too easy for players to just spawn in as Lis and one-shot-kill an enemy scout/stealth heli. (Even jets weren't safe after the absurd range buff.) I know because I was doing exactly this with Lis whenever I got killed by a heli or jet pilot. There was effectively zero counterplay to a good Lis player determined to kill enemy air.
Lis can still one-shot-kill those air vehicles, but it now requires being somewhat closer in range and good timing... so yeah, they wanted some more skill involved. You people seem to think that any one of the 64 players on a team should be able to spawn in and instantly delete enemy air vehicles with the press of a button. Why? What would be the point of including any vehicles if you just allow players to destroy them too easily? It needs to require at least some base level of skill. It shouldn't be too easy or too hard. Last patch it was waaaay too easy lol. - UP_Hawxxeye3 years agoLegend
@Anarchiesxthe only aircraft that were being hit too easily were the ones that could tank like 4 of these missiles.
Not the ones that are getting oneshoted. Especially not by the average joe

That's rather exaggerated, but this is the internet I suppose.
People expect infantry AA options that don't feel so chore-like. Infantry AA needs to feel fun. The G-84 at least made it interesting.
When it comes to anti-armor DICE gives us lots of interesting options that makes it fun. Anti-air isn't nearly as interesting by comparison. G-84 nerf moves things in the wrong direction.

the pendulum will swing back the other way. enjoy it while you can pilots, things won't always be in your favor

Yet, they said they're increasing the Lis skill cap for pilots. Hmmmm. The reason for Bug Helos and Jets getting owned was because they slowed down or hovered over nodes making them easy pickings. Pilots chose to give up their speed and agility to farm targets. This is called, Bad Piloting 101. Yet, Pilots continued to fly poorly and complain they died. So DICE Nerf Lis so pilots could continue to fly like an unskilled noob, get easy kills, then epeen the stat board at the end of the game. Yes, we all know why the nerf happend. DICE believes pilots cannot increase their skill cap, and therefore, assigned it to infantry.
Lis can still one-shot-kill those air vehicles, but it now requires being somewhat closer in range and good timing... so yeah, they wanted some more skill involved.
Yes, they wanted more skill, to (and I am quoting) "Ease up on the pilot experience". The range wasn't a huge issue, the agility of the missile is. You see son, good pilots never had a problem dodging missiles because, and pay close attention now, they didn't give up their defense for offense.
You people seem to think that any one of the 64 players on a team should be able to spawn in and instantly delete enemy air vehicles with the press of a button. Why? What would be the point of including any vehicles if you just allow players to destroy them too easily?
Because their high speed and agility make them so hard to kill. Oh Wait, you don't understand the gift you have. You just want to hover and shoot enemies who cant attack you back. That being said, you have 2 helos that are basically glass bubbles and you think they shouldn't be 1 hit by an explosive? Jets are debatable, but Bug Helos should go down on 1 hit. They're glass cannons, literally
It needs to require at least some base level of skill. It shouldn't be too easy or too hard. Last patch it was waaaay too easy lol.
You mean like hovering and farming infantry easy? The irony of your statement is like golden buttered deliciousness served in the morning. We get is son. So did DICE.

@Padding_Ur_StatsAll nonsense responses as usual, but I expect nothing less from players who don't learn to play the game lol.
I play every role, whether it's infantry or vehicle. I learn the strengths and weaknesses and adapt, which is how you're expected to play games in general. If you're complaining about helicopters being "OP" vs infantry, then you've already lost the argument and you must have been complaining about vehicles in literally every BF game before. Instead of going to the internet to whine and complain, you could sit down, take a breath, and analyze your options/tools provided in-game.
Ah well, whiners gonna whine. - VOLBANKER_PC3 years agoSeasoned Ace

Got it. You have no relevant information to rebuttal the information so you're just going to dismiss and epeen. I see your white flag and accept it. I would bet dollars to donuts you're the troll who posts in chat after games spewing insults after piloting your EZMode 80:1. Dr Phil is proud of you. A good example of people using this game for self esteem
but I expect nothing less from players who don't learn to play the game lol.
Learn to play the game. The irony of that statement is not lost on me. After all, DICE acknowledged Pilots are unable to get better, so the assigned that to infantry. How does it feel to know that the developers of this game see your limited learning curve? Oh well, I guess its time to farm 80:1 while hovering or parking and epeen in chat after the game.
Ah well, whiners gonna whine.
Like the pilots did before the nerf. Irony.

Original post - Lis rocket being able to circle the heli for 2-3 times. That is correct, but how many of those times turning around actually hit you? 1%?
The change gave you the advantage of being unbalanced again, enjoy.
It takes the edge of the players on the ground, so you might be alone in the air one day! (<.<)

Lis' rocket is fine in this patch. https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Lis-is-in-the-sweet-spot-right-now-Her-rocket-is-not-too-strong/m-p/12352352/highlight/true#M161214
It actually requires some level of skill. And you still get two rockets.

@Padding_Ur_Stats You should try using the Anti-Air Tank. It will solve all your problems. I honestly recommend playing Infantry only modes, it sounds like vehicles just aren't something you enjoy.
Ah yes... if we complain, that Lis is nerfed and there is no counter to vehicles and air... use a vehicle! It is that easy... I am impressed with this wisdom...
So this is the balance for you... Infantry should lose against all vehicles, vehicles should be the only effecitve counter to vehicles. But vehicles can just kill all infantry.
Thank you, I think this sounds reasonable. And yes, if you don't like it... just don't play it. Also a good advice, DICE itself had it given some time ago. You know what happened? They just didn't play it, it didn't sell well and when you think this will be the solution, there won't be any Battlefield in the future.
Your argument is just pointless.
- DigitalHype3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Zathex Exactly. It was very unlikely you would hit anything but a condor or transport heli after circling the TGM. Which would only do moderate to minimal damage on those big birds. So, the chances of you hitting the highly maneuverable stealth or nightbird after circling were near zero with an average pilot. And even closer to zero for a good pilot.

Such a braindead take. You know from the pilot's perspective, you have to assume that as long that every missile that's in the air will hit you? If you hear that sound, you immediately have to stop what you are doing to avoid it and that why the second pass matters. It also doesn't matter how good the Lis player is. It could be one you "battlefield vet" crybabies slinging them and any pilot would have to stop what they are doing to avoid it. It's a RAO hack and one shot missile in one package. Do you guys just run out in the middle of the field and after a sniper shoots a shot at you but misses, you go and think "oh ok, the second one won't hit so I don't have to do anything." Actual morons here lmao.

I have no issue with the range nerf. But the agility nerf basically makes piloting braindead
It also doesn't matter how good the Lis player is.
Yes it does. Even before the nerf.
It could be one you "battlefield vet" crybabies slinging them and any pilot would have to stop what they are doing to avoid it.
OMG! How inconvenient, you have to stop what youre doing?!?!?!?!?! OH THE HUMANITY!

And there is the teamwork whine that every bad pilot complains about. You're why the nerf happened. DICE knew you couldn't adjust. DICE knew you couldn't elevate your skill so they had to dumb down piloting to, and I quote, "ease the vehicle playing experience". How does it feel to pilot the DICE short bus?
Actual morons here lmao.

Ive looked for them but the ping is so high, I wont join. That being said, the first game I look for is no vehicles. If on has a yellow to green ping, I am there. I also dont solo play anymore. I only play BF with a squad of 4 people I know in a voice chat.
I think more and more infantry will be doing this. DICE just made piloting short bus skill level. I wonder when their games dont spawn, what their whine will be?

That is assuming that it was not taken by some blueberry who wanted a RAM or someone who uses it as an MBT with a non-AA turret.
By the way one of the gunner seats of the Brawler (new transport) has a secondary gunner seat that can be a 20mm AA autocannon. This means that there is another vehicle that can be quite dangerous to nearby helicopters.
