Platform Dilemma

I have a dilemma and I'm sure I'm not alone on this one. I'm lucky enough to have a PS5 and a pretty high end gaming PC. I can play perfectly well with m&k on PC, but in all honesty I'm not a very competitive person and I just prefer the more chilled experience of playing online on consoles. PC online always just seems a helluva lot more stressful.

I also happen to have an ultrawide 144hz monitor because my main hobby is sim racing. The monitor however makes a hell of a difference in fps games too.

So do I get the game on PC to make use of my extra pixels and frames or do I get it on console for a more 'fun' experience. Or is the chilled console experience gonna be non existent anyway because of crossplay with PC? I dunno anymore!

Help me make a choice 😅

  • @TankerFlanker  On PS4 for sure.. PS5? 10 Million world wide not every one will buy BF 2042...  a small fraction know and will turn off crossplay so even smaller number. 128 players per server you will be playing bots more than players.

@HankBizzleI'm not sure what you're talking about " longer to find a match " there is a server browser, why in the world would anyone use matchmaking?

@1Hairy-Gorilla 10 million is a lot more people than you think, and seeing as it's going to be one of the real current gen shooters I'm sure plenty will get it.

After the Vanguard Alpha with that boring asf sweaty mode and them putting armor from BR in regular matches I see it quickly turning to crap.
  • @TankerFlanker  BF doesn't sell as well as CoD so I don't think so with 40-50 mil at the time BF1 didn't have that much of a peak even on PS4 where the most was playing in a 3:1 ratio :P

I mean BFV was that popular they removed servers and modes...
