What precisely is the "Player Council" mentioned on the Technical Playtest page? Is it related to the Game Changers Program?
More importantly, what does the selection process look like?

Not only EA Game Changers makes an impact. Im sure we will be able to give feedback too after Open Beta so DICE can improve things and balance the game. 🙂 The key criteria of being among the few chosen ones...:
The Game Changers program is with limited availability for new admissions. When availability opens, new members are being accepted by looking at a range of factors, such as:
• Have a deep understanding of the game's mechanics, community, and franchise history.
• Are often known and have positive reputations in the community.
• Cannot be associated with any type of coin/key selling, gambling sites, or cheating that harms the community.
• If they are content creators, have channels with a substantial community following.
• They have unique voices, perspectives, and talents.
• Must treat others with respect, fairness, civility and completely follow EA guidelines.It’s probably in part a marketing effort.
As the game changers are given a chance to test BF2042 before release and give DICE their suggestions and ideas, the game changers are more likely to “feel ownership” / have a positive view on BF2042. This will translate into them producing Youtube material which has a positive angle on the game.
By the time of a BETA the games direction is set and only tweaks and balances are made. There could be near universal hate of the specialist idea or the on the fly 'plus' gun change system but the the devs have already decided on it and coded it so would be here to stay come what may. And from what i gather the 'game changers' arent really listened to anyway in the games development and are just used as PR.

EA Game Changers will not be allowed to share any Gameplay from PlayTest. After BFV Im sure for 100% that they will give EA/DICE Dev Team a honest opinions. I know some of those EA Game Changers and i believe that they want to make BATTLEFIELD 2042 the best game in Frenchise. 🙂
BATTLEFIELD 2042 can bring Battlefield Fans, Community back together after BFV so its perfect opportunity for DICE to change things in a good way. 🙂 - @WindowsManTv_CZE I didn’t mean they’d share gameplay from the test phase, I meant they’ll produce positive videos after the game has released.

EA/DICE took a beating from nearly every direction with the last two "experiments" in the direction of the franchise.
The massive popularity of BF4 following the trailer is a testament to which path leads to more money. I'm confident in a rocky launch, simply because ALL OF US are embarking into the relatively unknown, new consoles, new class set ups, 128 players. The countless incoming threads by myself and others here and not yet joined complaining about this, that, and the other., But I'm also confident in a solid, fun game once we collectively iron out the teething issues.
