Hi, will we be able to activate "Gyro-Aiming" on all Platforms but specially on PS4/PS5 ? I like this feature from other FPS games and works mostly very well. DualShock 4 and DualSense supports and offer this feature. Of course it should be "optional" so people can activate it if they want this "feature". Gyro-Aiming is the ability to aim via motion, so when you move your controller you can aim. CM edit: edited title for clarity.

Can someone from DICE or EA comment on this matter?Even the biggest Battlefield content creator JackFrags tweeted it's mind boggling that this is not supported on consoles for controllers. It makes precision aiming so much easier and better. Precision aiming without aim assist is absolutely horrible, that's why there's aim assist there in the first place. Please, give this option finally, it's too embarassing to ignore it at this point in time. Almost every shooter on the Nintendo Switch has it, PC can use it in any game, there's a huge community around it. It is much more fun to be able to fully control your aim than to rely on a software assisted tool such as aim assist.Just make it optional, trust me, you will have more sales this way and people will only thank you for it. DICE, you can be the first to bring this to mainstream shooters, and it will be a game changer.Don't miss this opportunity please.I'm buying Battlefield 2042 on PC, but the second you confirm gyro aiming on PlayStation, I'm immediately buying the copy there. It's that big of a deal, DICE. Please, don't ignore it. If you don't know how to best implement gyro controls, check Jibb Smart's blog, he has tutorials and guides for devs on how to implement best gyro controls in a game.

Seriously, if Crossplay with PC is going to be a thing--which Im fine if it is--Please create Gyro Aim and Keyboard and Mouse support. Hell, just please create it in general.First and foremost, as a couch player, I much prefer Gyro Aim in general vs traditional stick aiming. I understand the major advantages a mouse can have over traditional stick aiming and gyro aim allows me (and many others I know who prefer using it) to bridge the gap between the two while also no longer relying on Aim Assist (its usually shut off gyro aim used). Gyro Aim mimicks the intuitive feedback that is similar to a mouse, allowing for much faster and more accurate movements with aiming. It also separates "macro" aiming (recentering of the screen) away from "micro" aiming (precision aim) thus allowing us to jack the sensitivity up for the right thumbstick to make faster turns without losing the quick and accurate responses the gyro aim can bring.Since the past 7 months that I have been using it (when implemented), it has made gaming on console with a controller so much more enjoyable and just wished more shooters would adopt it. Games like Days Gone, Horizon, Enlisted, and TLOU2 were just so much better with it since i dont feel like im fighting the mechanics of a joystick and its limited range of motion. That being said, I know Xbox unfortunately does not have Gyro Tech in their controllers but at least creating K&M support grants increased control accessibility for players on all platforms.P.S. - if gyro aim does get implemented, make sure it has some additional settings such as "motion control always on" where even when not aiming down sights, gyro aim is active. Many people i know prefer (me included). Also, the ability to "roll" or "yaw" controller for the X axis. Rolling is a weird one for me but again, i know many people play with this style. The last aspect is allowing sensitivity to be further refined when "holding breath" with L3. Some people can be a bit jittery with long range snipes so adding this extra layer helps them.Here are some videos of me using it on Fortnite. But Ive been using it various games on PS5 for over a year and its hard to go back to traditional stick aiming because of how clunky it is vs Gyro.To give a sense of how Gyro helps as well, I run it turned ON all the time in my games for all forms of aiming. Simply, My right stick is only to recenter the screen (I love Flick Stick methods from Fortnite and Deathloop). In MWII, this allows me to have my Sensitivity of my right stick at MAX (20). This allows me to respond to my surroundings much faster since Gyro Aim handles the aiming of both hipfire and ADS. Agreed. Going from BFV (which felt great overall for stick aiming) to 2042 was an odd downgrade. Though if I recall, they did improve it some but it still felt off.
In the end, Gyro Aim for me is my main go-to now. Ever since I converted over a year ago, i have a hard time playing shooters without it. Just a much better system when its implemented properly (which is not hard to do).

Can you please add gyro aiming on battlefield 2042 for PlayStation 5 ???? I’m really crazy how pc players can play with gyro but not ps players. Other games like warzone support gyro

Would love for all the major shooters to natively implement it. Got Fortnite and MW2 so far. Pretty much every Nintendo game has it these days and most Playstation exclusives along with some third party games have added it in the past year to two.
Then we have word that Xbox is prototyping a new controller that has many of the DualSense features. Bet Gyro tech will be one of those seeing how they are the only controller without it in the industry.
Ive always been a BF fan over most AAA shooters. Man I would love for a Fortnite level of Gyro Aim implementation into BF including Flick Stick and potentially a couple other additions.

Xim matrix uses remote play but it strips out the audio and video signals to reduce lag.
If you know what a beloadrt pro do gle is, it uses the same method.
The other disadvantage is that tjis device can only trsnslate the rightstick to gyro value's. Wich will also use the ingame cuve and has aim assist and deadzones.
If done right then the gyro value's should be trsnslatrd to mouse value's. This vetsion of gyro is similar to the joystick mousr option in steam input.

I wish this aiming mechanic were implemented in BF titles. Its my go-to method for aiming. MW2, Fortnite, God of War Ragnarok, Neon White, TLOU, No Mans Sky....quite a few games in the past year have added it. A good Gyro Aim implementation can give "mouse-like" aim that does not rely on Aim Assist. A much more intuitive system. Does not need to replace traditional stick aiming--more options for us players, the better. Just want devs to recognize that this mechanic has become very popular and that there are many who will not play a shooting game unless it has Gyro Aim. I hope to see this get implemented:

I dont expect it in BF2042. But hopefully the next title. Its better to bring awareness to some level than staying quiet.

Is Gyro-aim a licensed software? does EA have to license it from a competitor. If so I don't see this happening.

No. Its just the utilization of gyroscopic technology inside almost all controllers. Gyro Aim is just a term we give it. Its no different than setting up Keyboard and Mouse as an input option. Pretty much every smart phone has the technology as well now. Tons of mobile games take advantage of the technology. It seems most Nintendo games have it these days and PS4/5 games have been implementing it more frequently.
MW2 and Fortnite have it as well. Fortnite was implemented by a single dev. Usually does not take too long to do so according to him either.
