@edgecrusherO0 MAg had a superior system period and should be replicated in a Live AAA combines arms game like BF .. Every single BF since its creation never had the level of depth and quality that MAG had structurally speaking and even planetside 2 wich has a inferior command system to MAG was also better than past BF games ...
There is no shame in replicating MAG system its just that good and never have been done by any other AAA games that i remember of ..
Also they need to allow us to make Platoon lobbys with 4 squads of 4 that we can choose who is Squad leader and who isnt . so a lobby of 16 players can matchmake in Alloutwarfare so at least you can have 1/4 of the team willing to cooperate and coordinate

@Stew360 Well, baby steps from the current "there's no real support for squad play" state to he MAG-esque systems. I just want the level of squad play from previous BF games back at the very least.
PS2's system is very different given that it's a much different style of game and has changed quite a bit over the years, and between its current low player count and that it's taken them years of work making progress and then regressing isn't much better.
I'd love to see more depth akin to the old commander system and stuff from BF2 and whatnot, or MAG, but that's a huge, massive leap from where the game is. Bring it back to BFV/1/4 levels and allow for multi-squad groups so friends can actually play together first, build from there.

The old BF beside BF2 maybe didnt had much real squad play period the " Bad company era " as launch on BF the ": squad centric " or " squad elitism " mentality where you only care about your tiny group or squad of 4 only revive them only care about them and communicate with them only .. But in BFBC the team were 12 vs 12 so 1 squad was 1/3 of a team wich wasnt much of a big deal back then ..
But as soon as we got back to BF3 64 players this squad thing was once again reimplemented and you only had squads of friends that work and randoms squads were a nightmare .. teamwork was a nightmare as well .. more griefers trying to steal your vehicles or take your bbuddy gunner place than actual usefull team mates ..
This is why games like MAG have worked welll .. BF4 commanders was a joke .. BF2 commander at least had a bit of something going on but it wasnt nearly as good as OIC in MAG and there was no proper Squad to platoon to OIC structure and a 128 player game requires that to feel a team is a team and not just " a Hero solo squads " into a ocean of randoms like BF3 or 4 now even with friends you are 1/16 of a team not 1/3 like BFBC so it can lead to frustrating senario .. BF3 and 4 you were mostly 1/8 of a team ...
We need squads of 4 , platoons of 16 for 64 players team with OIC broadcast , Platoons leaders broadcast , Squad VOIP and Squad points , frago objectives and rewards for squad cohesion just like MAG ...
I dont really care much about past BF failed system i want real improovements that were needed since BF3 launch and never happened a decade after- 4 years ago@Stew360 It did though. Classes promoted teamwork by letting you know exactly what kinds of kits your squad was running, and without classes or UI elements showing this in 2042 we can't complement our squads kits.
The scoring system has been gutted and where you'd previously get experience/rewarded for suppressing for your team/squad or proper experience/rewards for assists on vehicles, there is none of this in 2042.
It doesn't have to be "THIS IS EXPLICITLY STATED THAT THIS IS A SQUAD MECHANIC", it's expressed through design as it should be.- 4 years ago@edgecrusherO0 Classes will not improve team/squad play.
