Please No random bullet spread!

Man 2042 got be so hyped that I went back from more or less only playing R6S to playing some battlefield 4. 

The random spray recoil patterns are so unbelievably frustrating. Knowing my sight in on target but my shots not hitting is absolutely rage inducing...

I get its a lot more work to design specific recoil patterns for every gun in the game, but even COD has it.

This isn't CS:GO, this isn't Valorant, please for the love of god don't take the easy lazy way out by just using a generic spray diamond that gets bigger the longer you fire.

For me at lease, this would single handedly ruin my experience in the game.

    @Rev0verDrive BF4 then that would be correct but BF1 had bullets spawn near barrel's end. It lead to bullets that could be fired from off centre in BFV.

    BF4 introduced zeroing to BF. Depend on which BF and weapons the distances.
  • The thing is that the viewkick system alone has it's limits in creating natural and realistic recoil patterns. Often leads to very linear laser-like patterns when no rng is used.

    Also a fixed reticle gives a very unreal experience, because that's just not how it works irl, the reticle is not glued to your eyeballs.

    I feel both technique's (viewkick + visual recoil) are necessary to create a balanced and more authentic gunplay experience.

  • @Neovisi0n Yea literally been raging the last hour bc of this. The crazy thing is I’m controlling the recoil pretty good and my retical is on the enemy but my bullets are going * who know where. Ik they were trying to add another element to the game when it comes to leading your shots but the bullet velocity is unrealistically exaggerated where every guns velocity is way too slow. Hopefully bf2042 is like BF5 in that sense bc it’s way more realistic and enjoyable

    I preferred BF4 / BF1 gunplay and did not like BFV gunplay. Seemed it had a negative effect on gameplay where many became stationary and did not play objectives.

    With 3 x zoom it felt like a semi sniper light hardcore game where it became an advantage not to move.

    That's just my opinion. There`s nothing right or wrong, but only what each one prefers imo.
