Tracer rounds would be fine if they work like tracer rounds, not like a laser. While they should be visible from behind and perhaps the side, they should not blind people being shot at (in fact if falling near them should not be visible).
The whole idea is to see where your rounds fall or mark targets for your side. It would be great to see that as a feature, rather than firing balls of light that blind people.
