We will fix it with scripts that can deploy AI Soldiers and set their strength depending on team balance at the time.- Aka >200 tickets ahead, only deploy easy-mode AI soldier.
- If <100 tickets behind, deploy a medium strong AI soldier.
- If >200 tickets behind, deploy a strong AI soldier.
- If >500 tickets behind, deploy 'The Colonel' !! 🙂
(expect with 128-player games, that we will have 1600-2000 tickets min per game round)

The thought of AI soldiers really makes my enthusiasm drop. AI soldiers are not my cup of tea except for solo / coop/0ffline.

How about an actual ranked area in the game for mixed platoons where teams are set in the lobby before the match starts? A place where team switching is not an option, disconnects drop rank, and even more importantly people come here to actually play with a purpose. This is because wins will matter in this area of the game, so it will attract players that want to do so. Completely eliminating this feeling of wasting time when being stuck on a garbage team for thirty minutes with people that don't seem to be trying that creates the urge to want to team switch.

Agreed @SirBobdk ,
I also prefer real flesh and blood on the battlefield and not some CPU and RAM sockets and wires running around.
We have not seen/heard how this might work out in practice, but hope at least on the Portal servers to dictate a maximum of AI soldiers and also that if real humans wants to join in, then the AI soldiers in the game will be replaced instantly by the real humans that may queue up to join the server. This way we may always be able to keep the AI part to an absolute minimum. Ideally totally get rid of them when running full servers, with only real humans throughout.
Personally I only see the AI as a great add-on for some training practice and when having to start up an empty sever from the ground until the first 4-6 real humans join in.

"Problem solved" means nothing to Dice when it comes to making a game.
- TheGM864 years agoRising Scout@CloudMcRip I switched teams all the times, mostly to to whoever was attacking. because lets face facts, if your team is trash why even bother.
- DingoKillr4 years agoNot applicable@Its_Travis_199 from what has been said AI would never stop a player joining.
What should happen
* Joining a server should put players on the side with the least players.
* Joining on a friend should still occur.
* No team swapping during match.
If you join a server and then wish to join a friend on the other team then you should wait until round end. We didn't talk about the "joining a server" effect of Bots. For sure if players want to join, Bots will like leave and a player can get in.
We just talked about switching teams within the match, and i guess it won't be a big possibility as it's been said Bots are supposed to fill up servers, which means the teams should be pretty balanced and filled up constantly (hopefully)

- PacNbowls4 years agoSeasoned Ace@VOLBANKER_PC This is a big problem on the console, I would love if they could implement a penalty for switching teams half way through the match
