Portal - classes

As I understand it, we get the opportunity to use BF3 classes and weapons in the portal. Does that mean we have to unlock and upgrade soldiers and weapons again or is everything already upgraded/unl...

    Honestly none of us know anything about how this will be in the Portal because EA have so far shared and said nothing on this specific subject of weapons progression.  
    Sad, but how EA have played their marketing cards so far.  🙁

    So all speculation from my side, but I would think that we will all start from just the default base load out, no matter which BF game soldier type we select to play with.  And that only kills or XP gained with playing with a specific weapon will count towards unlocking more accessories for that weapon.  (that appears to be the weapons unlock mechanic for the BF2042 core game area, so think they will rely on same for the Portal BF remasters)

    Please also note that not all weapons from aka BF3 will be available to our soldiers in the Portal.  Only a select subset of all primary weapons, secondary weapons and gadgets from the original BF3 appear to be in the game.  Same as well with weaponry from the BF1942 and BFBC2 worlds...

    Have seen it, but the XP seem to be related to BF2042 Specialists, weapons and vehicles.

    But in the portal we have BF1942/BC2/BF3 weapons and gear.

      @SirBobdkI honestly can't see that happening if I'm been honest with myself, it would be cool but the whole toybox kinda approach tells me it maybe won't be like that.

        Sad when more people are playing Portal I feel like at times. I mean....I want to play with all the old classic weapons and maps I know. I am for one excited about 128 on caspin.
