If COD vanguard is better than many think it will be along with Halo in December, Portal could be the mode with majority player base. However if those games mentioned are not good, then I could see the other modes in 2042 gaining steam. Of course 2042 has to work also. Lots of moving parts so things can shift either way really.
COD comes out tonight I think so all eyes on its release.

Well, there is actually an interesting question @ghinavirus ! 👍
How many players are keen on playing both games, COD and BF?
And is one of them really able to stealing players from the other company, so the spending question becomes more like COD or BF?
Add HALO to the mix, and its maybe even more blurred and more diluting the revenue stream that EA can harvest from BF2042...
Personally I am not interested in the COD gaming world, but welcome education on these market dynamics and hearing from some that may be in a situation to making the choice between one or the other and not buying BF2042 as a result of this?

@CyberDymeWhere Halo becomes an issue for COD and BF is its part of gamepass that many on xbox/pc have. Microsoft is killing it right now. So Halo multiplayer is free to play as I dont even think you need gamepass. May want to double check that but I am confident it will be free to play no matter what. And many who have been playing Halo have all said its legit. This is from sources I trust not shills.
If any game can steal Cod money it will be Halo first then 2042. You throw that free aspect into the mix and it will gain attention. Its free right so nothing to lose where COD and 2042 is paid. This is why some of us wanted to see hazard zone free to play. Its an advertising mechanism to entice players for the full package. Just like warzone has helped cold war by having the same guns release through their season pass in both warzone and cold war.
EA/DIce need to release day 0 a smooth launch. Majority of the players who purchase BF 2042 need to have a good experience Day 0 and word will spread fast. That will be key just like it will be key with COD and Halo. Whoever has the rocky launch will suffer the most longterm. Thats just my 2 cents.EDIT:Sorry for long winded response but I been getting my algebra game on so I am feeling a little smarter but I am actually not lol.
