Possible to upgrade your preorder from Standard Edition to Gold Edition?

Hey guys,

I preordered the Standard Edition of BF2042 earlier this year.

After playing the Open Beta, I'm thinking of upgrading my existing preorder to the Gold Edition, what's the best way to do this?

On the note from the original preorder of the standard edition, it mentioned losing the preorder bonuses if I decided to cancel my preorder.

I've also read somewhere that I need to cancel my existing preorder, then order the Gold Edition after that for other games.

However, I've noticed that I haven't been billed yet for my existing preorder so I'm a little confused about what's happening and how to proceed.

Any help would be appreciated.

@ghinavirusYeah and since we know there are no means to "upgrade" stand-alone editions... this sounds like it may be occurring within EA Play Pro to me.

@carsono311 Yeah I agree. With EA play Pro you pretty much get all EA games day of launch and early access.

I had ea play pro at the moment but i had pre ordered the game with money

@Robica_DecarulThe EA Play Pro is what gave you the "upgrade" option then.
If you let the EA Play Pro subscription lapse, it will revert back to the original, stand-alone edition you purchased and added to your EA Account.

Got an email from EA about billing finally; I noticed with the Gold Edition:
"Origin Great Game Guarantee: Eligible Not Eligible"
I remember seeing that it was on the Standard Edition... I assume this is because of the additional preorder items, or you outright cannot be eligible?
