I asked GameStop where's the physical gold edition for ps5. They couldn't give me an answer because I hate buying digital versions. I cancelled with them and reordered the standard physical edition through Amazon. I am confused why they expect people to spend a lot of money on a digital gold and ultimate edition. You don't get anything for it except early release. I love steel book editions etc. Horizon Zero Dawn forbidden west has 3 special physical disc editions. Extremely disappointed.

@warcloud7777 Because they're trying to kill physical, they already did to be honest because the game won't play offline so what's the disc good for anyways at that point.I wonder if it's simply that more people buy digital, it's less fuss to distribute digitally and game sizes are outpacing disk formats anyway (you need multiple disks or have to download most of the game anyway).
I think the last physical game I bought was 2013 and have to say i personally don't miss them. 🙂

Fully agreed @SofaJockeyUK ,
The only thing I really miss now these days is a 8TB SSD in my PS5! 😂

It's more about the ownership, that's physical games to console gamers, I myself haven't bought a disc on PC in years mostly because it's completely useless when you still have to link it online and stuff like that, I just get my games off GOG mostly and put them on my external hard drives, can play offline anytime without any restrictions. I do agree that a disc for a game like this is completely useless if you can't play in LAN or with bots offline (which hopefully will be added later).
