Either they've lied or that's a bug. They previously stated multiple times that your purchases would be available no matter what platform you were playing on.
It's been like that since day one. The pre-order bonuses and the few extras you got from day one with the gold edition were also locked to the platform you bought them on.
So unless its a bug that has been there since day one without ever beeing adressed, then I would assume its ment to be that way.

The battle pass is considered an in-game purchase though, since you have to buy it with Battlefield Currency. DICE and EA stated multiple times that your in-game purchases follow you to any platform you play on.
It makes no sense to make someone buy the battle pass multiple times. Not even Call of Duty makes their players buy those battle pass multiple times. The COD battle passes are available on whatever platform you're playing on after purchasing it once.
Editing my post to add the screen shot from EA's own blog post about cross progression in this game. It says purchases carry over to other platforms and the battle pass is obtained via an in game purchase. You buy it with Battlefield Currency. The battle pass is also not listed in the excluded items list. So according to the information EA has provided, it should transfer across platforms after purchasing it only once.

It doesn't matter if you purchased it with Battlefield currency or with the Ultimate Edition. The Season 1 battle pass itself is purchasable with Battlefield Currency, which makes it an in-game purchase. And according to EA's blog about cross progression, it's supposed to be available on all platforms if you've purchased it once.
There's no way they would make Ultimate Edition owners buy the battle pass twice but let Standard Edition owners that bought the pass in game have it cross platform. They've made an error somewhere and need to fix it. No other cross progression game makes their players purchase their battle passes more than once.

Why has my comment been merged into a thread from over a year ago? How is this topic supposed to be answered and fixed if it's suppressed into a thread that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about? Wtf

Hi all,
Thanks a lot for updating this thread with new reports.
I have a question for you all; once you make progress on the platform where you've actually bought the Pass on (so either standalone (if this is an option) or via the Gold/Ultimate Editions of the game), finish a round & close down everything --> and play the game on the other platform you own the base game on, does that progress carry over for you and does it show the same progress etc.?
I would also really appreciate it if it's possible for you to maybe post some screenshots of the Battle Pass (progress) of what you're seeing on the platform where you own the pass on & the platform where you only own the base game. Many thanks in advance!
- Symbiote923 years agoRising Novice@BizzyVaping So I sought of found a solution pretty stupid though so in my case my xbox has ultimate ps5 standard so all battlepass stuff does carry just not the premium pass the only way to get it to sync is to basically load game on platform with the pass and it will transfer all battlepass items currently unlocked to the tier your at including premium tiers this of cause requires you to have original platform you got gold or ultimate

I'm still sceptical EA will pay the Sony tax for payed cosmetic items to transfer between Xbox and PlayStation accounts. Are there any cosmetic items for sale in the Battlefield store yet?
