Same challenge everyone is having. The game is unplayable in the current state and we get nothing from devs, just radio silence.
I’m wondering why I spent the money to play a week earlier when I can progress past a certain point.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug as some weapons are progressing and some aren't.
I've just tried playing Solo on All Out Warfare and used all the weapons unlocked to me (conceded, I'm only at level 20 or so, so there are a lot of locked ones) and none of them track any progression. I've also tried the specialist gear for a few specialists and the vehicles, and none of those tracked any progression either.
