UNCAP XP AND TAKE OFF ANY RESTRICTIONS ON ALL MODES!
This was one of the advertised features, full progression across all modes, I wouldnt even mind if you did the below -
For solo/coop - at the most 50% of the xp you would get in mp games, and activate ribbons, tiers and everything else again and no xp caps.
For Portal - if playing against bots base xp on bots health, and the lower the health the lower the xp. If AI health is below 50% when creating a server then disable xp for bot and put a warning on. If its players only then have normal xp gains and ribbons etc.
Players are leaving in droves and Portal is getting pretty dead because nobody wants to play it without progression etc. Enable full progression on all modes, just have someone keep an eye on Portal servers and delete them if you have to, so room can be made for proper Portal games that people create. Come on Dice this is killing the game with these restrictions!
@Spidder81sadly these restrictions are not logical, you put in a LOWER squad character limit -> lower xp, you put on friendly fire -> LOWER XP. Many of these "Hardcore" or just different settings should not affect the XP at all.
I will open up a seperate topic as it seems like they are just set by default to "anything else than default = less xp"

It seems like EA, or Dice, doesn’t want their game to succed. It’s kind of obvious now that they want to do whatever they want, and they want to force us to like what they did. The changes they’ve done so far are so pointless and small, while real issues could be adressed by just turning a switch on, or are on the first page of EA HQ Answer since the first week. A lot of things doesn’t require a huge amount of dev time and are just QoL adjustements.
Bringing back full XP regardless the mode you play, just like the first two days and just like every first hour right after almost every big update (meaning the servers switch back to default mode), would make a bunch of player returns, which would be good for both global player count and PvP player count. And for Portal, it would encourage player to make fun experiences and boost hardcore. And PvE/solo players can spend money on a BP as well, if you let them grind it (fairly, not with a XP/minute cap or a penalty), so it’s also good for the business.
It doesn’t make sense at this point, it feels like they complete ignore the community. Either they’re beginners or they’re egomaniacs.- 3 years ago@MDBuzz Honestly I don't really care anymore at this point and just come check once in a while if someone answered. Always disappointed, never surprised.
Only thing we can do is take our money elsewhere when the next EA games come out. Battlefield or other franchises I guess. - 3 years ago
@MDBuzzIt's not even the same DICE team anymore. They've moved on and created their own studio (forgot the name) so basically the new DICE is made up of mostly new devs. Kinda understandable why this game doesn't feel like a typical Battlefield game...
I can't even unlock some of my attachments now despite having the requirements lol. Performance is also worse since the latest patch, due to a new way the game caches shaders.
This game is a lost cause. I wish people would stop saying "Hey! It's getting better!" Because it really isn't...

250 pages, 2492 replies and yet NOTHING from EA/Dice about this topic. Thanks for * on the PvE players. You advertised this game as full progression across all game modes, but because of what people did in Portal with the XP farming, you punished the people that had absolutely nothing to do with that. Thanks for stealing our money and not allowing us to play the game they way that YOU advertised it. Thanks for disrespecting us and ruining a once great franchise. And thanks for not allowing me to find a game in AoW if I turn off crossplay. The ridiculously low player numbers and utter disdain that people have for this game is 100% YOUR fault. Turn full progression back on for the PvE players!!!!
