Can confirm, the only thing that counts is XP on the Battle Pass missions. Deploying rangers does not, spawning on insertion beacons, nope... Spotting enemies, nah...
Frankly, it's no surprise. I fully expected EA to continue to screw us.
The issue is, we don't know if it's a start or all they are ever going to do. It took over a year to get this.
A percentage of Mission progress and Mastery progress is all we need now , but we don't even know if we'll get it.
Does this mean the XP cap on coop is gone? We just get 40% XP from every action? Patch notes aren't exactly clear.
“Solo/COOP XP changes” doesn't really make it clear what they did

For me is the sabe. I'm playing in PS4 but the only Thing is counting is the general lvl and battlepass. The unlocks for Guns and vehicles don't work.

We pve players want to fully progress mastery and weekly missions !! Give it back !
I really only want the basics but it seems this is never happening
Allow to play against 127 bots on the large maps like it was before it was removed in Update 3 (even if just in Portal.)
Allow us to swap teams
Allow us to create/join squads
At this point it seems like they are refusing to give anymore than crumbs to PvE players. On another thread the reply was “Yeah well we enabled ribbons but at barely any xp” And refuse to even touch on the issues trying to advance the BP or progress past mastery 12. Those are the two things along with full xp that we’ve been wanting from day one but it’s clear at this point they don’t give a * about PvE players.
The funny part about that is they are throwing away money by not enabling it. I could get multiple people back into the game and buying battle passes if they would enable full portal and solo/co-op xp. The bots give full xp in multiplayer, why can’t they in solo.

Make sure you give them as much flak as possible and make sure they know what it is we want that was taken from us and never brought back.
What I don’t understand is the why behind the restriction. It’s not because of XP farming. Do a cursory search of Portal servers now, and you can see how many XP farms they have active at any one time. So why is there still a restriction on XP, especially when enabling AI renders your server essentially useless. The answer can’t be, “whoa, pal; we enabled ribbons; what more do you want?” They enabled them at a 40% rate, and people were losing their minds: it’s the equivalent of feeding someone table scraps and expecting them to be happy about it. I would love transparency from the communications team, and I understand things change, and they can’t always tell us what is happening. You have the highest XP-rated thread on the BF2042 forum, and it feels like we’re being ignored. What do we have to wait for season 6 to get them to enable portal/AOW full XP/progression? It’s getting incredibly frustrating from where I stand, and I don’t understand why the XP restriction still stands.
It only took them near the end of this game's lifespan, but we FINALLY have what sounds like full progression....Only for portal. But according to season 4's patch notes, so long as there's pvp AI and NOTHING ELSE altered (except for the map selection of course) full progression is enabled such as ribbons, weekly missions and unrestricted XP. Mastery is unfortunately still capped to 12 but at this point I don't care anymore. As long as you can progress through essential stuff, that's really all that matters.
