@Mr-M-Method BF4 only took a few months to fix. In less than 6 months, I was enjoying BF4 plus 2 DLC packs they'd released. BF4 had a couple of major advantages over BF2042:
- Battlefield was arguably riding an all time high after the success of Bad Co 2 and BF3. It was also only 8 years since BF2 and BF2142. Consider the difference...in an 8 year window we got BF2, BF2142, Bad Co1, BF1943, Bad Co2, BF3, and BF4! The 8 years since BF4? Hardline, BF1, BFV, and BF2042. LOL!!!
- BF4 content was spot on. You just couldn't connect online. There wasnt some massive broken progression system, missing classes, or major game design issues like Battlefront 2 or BFV. So once the connectivity was fixed, there was a ton of content to enjoy. For me, 10 launch maps plus 2 DLC packs (China Rising and Second Assault)...18 maps ready to go with 12 more on the way in the season pass.
- 4 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX Your absolutely right, what they did back then surpasses what the do now. I think my point has been blurred over my lengthy reply to be fair.
I believe that it's important to report bugs and issues and give constructive feedback rather than just saying "it's *".
One thing I don't agree with though is this silly idea companies have to delay content and call it 'DLC'.
One thing to say though is this, 2042 is clearly very different from any BF. BF1&BFV were just a flop in comparison to BF4. I can't fault them for trying to do something different, especially if you didn't quite break the ice with 2 previous games. It's just a shame they have lost theyre vision on what makes a Battlefield game. It's very clear that they focused far too much on graphics and lacked pretty much everything else.
