Q: Hardline maps and modes in Portal? Yay or Neigh?
Did Battlefield Hardline have anything worthy of bringing into Portal?
- @ElliotLH I swear, I'm going to make a "Hardline Couch Mode" server where the couch is the only vehicle on the map!!!

- @ElliotLH I really hope we can do that, but I have this suspicion they're going to bait and switch us on what Portal can actually do. Keep your fingers crossed.
- @Threedog1421 Me too but it's not the worst idea to not get too excited until we know more about Portal.
Hardline had some pretty unique and fun game modes but of all the Battlefield games I'd like to see content from, it would probably be the lowest on the list.
- @Noodlesocks It was a spinoff really, a stop gap in the game cycle. While not a BF game, was still a blast.
I have a rather philosophical question:
1) My take on Hardline is that the game was released at the wrong time and under the wrong "label" and therefore was a flop in regards of playerbase.
Succeeding on BF4 which probably is among the most popular BF-titles it was probably released too close while there still was lots and lots of content in BF4 for the players to enjoy.
Also releasing Hardline under the Battlefield-franchise was obviously wrong as Hardline couldnt stand the similarities and comparison with BF4. Ppl simply felt let down and were not satisfied with either the content, theme and the quality of the game.
Today I would actually rate Hardline a solid 6.5/10 but unfortunately the game suffers under the poor management of EA/DICE.
- @DeeCay_DK_81 Sounds about right, but I would still rate it a bit higher in terms of entertainment value.
