Good thread I must start to say here. I'm on Xbox series X. I feel that Dice has done something with the aim-assist. From absolutely no aim-assist 95% of the time to aim-assist 50% of the time. Within those 50% the assist differ from super strong to super veak. I suspect that it can be possible to shoot things down from the sky when the assist works om max, but this should only occur in like one out of ten. For me the inconsistencies in the assist is really frustrating. Personally I prefer a balanced assist al the time, not super strong sometimes that makes it impossible to choose targets and absolutely nothing sometimes.
Aim assist only works against player models that are 95% exposed.
Aim assit doesn't work against gadgets (turrets, rangers, spawn beacons, nades). Aim assist also doesn't work at longer ranges. Aim assist doesn't work against players in LATV4's or Boltes. Aim assist doesn't work when using vehicle weapons.
At its current state BF2042 aim assist still feels 10% less effective than BFV and BF1.

I've read a lot about problems on aim assist since launch, and every time it remind me the problems we have with mouse and keyboard, especially on inconsistencie.
I agree about the servers problems that create weird things, and false hackusations.
That's why i didn't jump on conclusions first time i've seen it.
The point that really makes me questionning is the proxi sensor shots. Angrysquid explain that aim assist is not working on gadgets, ok it may be designed in this way. But i'm realy surprised to see it happens. I didn't count, but i may have seen it around 6 or 7 times since the patch.
And i'm not talking about a player in full auto with an LMG who send 200 bullets and sometimes hit something, but about short bursts especially acurates.
Reading lionking7001 on inconsistencie, it might be a very specific point, maybe snap aim scenario... i really have no idea.
I don't have friends on console to do tests, but it's hard to believe i'm the only one who have seen it.
If someone witness the same thing it might be a good idea to investigate. If not i'm the unluckiest player ever.
