@l_Grand_Vizir_lOh I know that FPS increases are a big advantage, granted I think in older games the FPS drastically changed your physics and in some cases the amount of dps/damage/bullets that would shoot or the ability to do advanced motion techniques (I played team fortress classic competitively for years, and bunny hopping and grenade jumping, etc was a necessary skill to have).
Correct, it doesn't just play FPS games. I'm fortunate enough to have a PS4/5 and a Switch so I have my pickings of the platform to play different types of games on as well.
But yes, controller input is definitely not my method of choice. Occasional I will 'slum' it when playing with my buddies in Halo when they are all controller players, I still do well (after years of playing FPS games), but not as well as I do with the ol faithful mouse and keyboard 🙂
Oh, and for what it's worth, I appreciate being able to have a conversation without all PC players being accused to be hackers/exploiters/low-skill due to input choice 😉

Yes i'm sure, you can have a doubt on some maps with vegetation on the ground. Maybe once i missed it i agree, but not each time.
But i have at least 2 similar situations in desert with a good visibility of the ground to be sure this gadget wasn't involve (i do not throw it on ennemies all time, i send them on side for flankers too, in this case you keep visibility with the ball while in cover)
I am lvl 187 with the proxi sensor. I've thrown a lot of them and seen (i think) most of the plausible scenarios with those spy boys.
😉
And i've seen the bullets go to it.
Really rare but really weird too.
Guess i'll never know.

- 4 years ago@l_Grand_Vizir_l This seems more like aim bot than the non working aim-assist on console. Now when I played a couple of hours on Xbox series X since the patch I can say that this should never work with controller

I wonder if the AI bots are programed to shoot proxy nades. That may explain what's being observed.
Sometimes those bots can land some pretty interesting shots.

I think it is Irish's gadget. I had this happen to Sundance's Smart Grenades as well.
On a side note, it seems like aim assist works through smoke and cover.

There is a simple test when it happens, i get out of cover...
And get killed by a player with controller. No AI, no PC, and as said before no Irish gadget around.
I don't think aim boot cheats are available on consoles (i may be wrong).
Of course the shot on the proxi sensor may have been done by someone (or AI) not involved in my duel and it might fool me.
Mix it with servers issues, bad behaviour of the game itself...
That's why i didn't jump into forum at the first or second time seing it. It's after a certain amount i started to think about the specific question on aim assist.
But considering how aim assist can be adjusted in settings by a slider (didn't know about it) giving multiple scenarios, the inconsistencies on controllers aim assist, the server problems, lags, etc. etc.
I think i'm just quite unlucky and observed on few occasions a rare and very situational bug/fail of the system.
Since i started thit subject, i've only seen one sensor explode and i'm pretty sure it was caused by a bad rock hitbox (you think you thraw your ball on side of the rock but you hit an invisible hitbox and it explode).
What i discribe happens very rarely in my games, and from what i can read here it's soo rare that it becomes irrevelant.
I'm just surprised that nobody has seen it too. Maybe nobody spam this sensor as much as i do, or maybe i'm fooled by the game and don't understand what i see.
If someone see it happens i'll be glad to read about it.
Anyway, thanks you guys for your answers.
