Re: "A love letter to the fans"

Any references to a "love letter" I heard from EA / DICE was in reference to a mode that was not yet announced (Portal).  I never heard them describe the whole game as one but maybe I missed something.  I did however hear some media sources, a few in the community, etc. take it as that.
