Re: Battlefield Core Feedback - Maps - Feedback Thread
QUESTIONS FROM THE CORE FEEDBACK POST
- Have you played 64 player Breakthrough, and do you feel that this is the better way to experience the mode?
I only play Breakthrough with 64 players now, partially because of the balance and partially because of performance. - On which maps and Flags do you see the most immediate need for more line of sight blockers?
- Hourglass - C point (Also pretty much points B, C, and D are all entirely too open) - for 64 players use A points instead of the ones downtown
- Kaleidoscope - Whole area surrounding D and E points need something
- Breakaway - D point seems to be too isolated - Do you have specific areas on maps that currently stand out to you as lacking cover?
- Renewal - entire green area needs more cover
- Kaleidoscope - entire green area could use more cover/ hills. Feel like Forrest Gump a lot in this map.
- Hourglass - entire area between B, C, and D - again feel like Forrest Gump - Do you have thoughts on how we can better define traveling paths between objectives to keep combat focused?
- More tunnels like in area between D1 and D2 on orbital. That tunnels is probably my favorite place to play in all the maps. - Do you see improvement opportunities to make it easier to understand how to get from one objective to the next?
- Be able to call in something like a transport truck. For example on Hourglass, when your team has captured all of the A points, you get about a dozen people just standing around deciding if they want to make the marathon run from A points to C or D or just wait to be able to call in a vehicle. Maybe when you've run an complete sector transport trucks appear on the map?
I feel like this game has some really good bones and if some skilled surgeons take it on it could be saved. Smaller infantry based maps would be HUGE and better overall map design. Also, un-nerf the NTW to give infantry players something against vehicles or at least against helicopters. =) Lastly, even though it's probably futile to say it, but bringing back the old class system would be the cats pajamas.
