The outsourced EA help reps don't even read the help messages. They just offer scripted responses.
I've given up asking about the ban, and have been asking about a refund, but EA help advisor just responds with a curt scripted message stating they won't be replying to my msg.
I submitted all my stuff 3 days ago, my ticket appears to be updating throughout the day every day but I have not received any communication from EA since the ban.
HAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
What a joke of a company.
Based on this information
I was EITHER using software that interferes with EA or others
OR
using exploits and cheats
OR
software or cheats to disconnect people.
I do not know what I actually did.
...it's like those time when you wanted to get into a club, but the bouncer just said "No. Not you.", without any further reason.
The difference here is: you already paid the entrance fee, congratulations...
Everyone gets the same it’s letter from them mine say the exact same
sigh, I'm really hoping that IGN dude comes through. This is truly bleak. I waited patiently feeling confident as I DO NOT HACK. Then for them to give me BS scripted nonsense is just such a slap in the face.
I uploaded my HWinfo32 file on my ticket, not sure what else I can do here.
Less then zero chance I support another EA title moving forward if they do not overturn this.(Yea I know the money hungry billion dollar company doesn't care)
@VandaLzAWe all get the same reply, whatever we say.
On the EAhelp's Twitter I asked why they never give infos, and somebody told me that if they send more details, people could try to manipulate their version of the story to trick the ToS team. So there is basically no way to know what we did.
By chance, EA is not running the justice in this world otherwise it would be pretty fancy...- @Sine0n When I got the reply, I was sat here like so if VIDEO EVIDENCE ISN'T ENOUGH? what is? What is the point of the dispute button if the greatest possible evidence I could have, VIDEO, is worthless.
- @VandaLzA I know right, this is ridiculous.
It's like you go to court, but nobody tells you what you did, who caught you and how, you can't defend yourself and you go to jail anyway.
Best justice ever. By the way, something I don't understand...
What's the difference between a bug and a programming oversight?
How do we know that we are not completely following the rules in a game that is NOT FINISHED?
That is what makes me upset the most. They set the rules, then they change everything because they apparently didn't understand what people want.
So how could it be the players fault?!@Sine0nHOLD UP, WAIT. BF2042 has bugs? Possible GAME BREAKING bugs that could false flag legit players like me?
No way EA would release a buggy game, I thought all those visual glitches and under the map while randomly driving and forced to redeploy moments was my PC being buggy :P Cause as we know it's always the end users fault.TBH I don't think I've heard of game like COD doing a banwave within the first 3 weeks of release? While openly acknowledging their game is quite broken and requires many patches and "we are sorry rewards"
Get the game to a some what stable state before trying to white knight bad players reporting?
- @CptMoloxie Has anyone on this thread been unbanned or is it just EA unilaterally banning people?
I have received an email today that my account is banned and I have no idea what I did. Submitted the ticket but this is just total disappointment. I got the same automatic answer

They lost all the players cuz they ban to much and do nothing about them false positives. haha. Big dumpster fire this.
me too, i don't use hack/cheat and get ban no reason ?? WTH this game ?

Hold up.
They're doing F2P weekends, right after banning a load of people?
WTF are they thinking, the ACTUAL cheaters they banned will definitely just grab a new account and hit the F2P.
Unless that's the plan, draw in the cheaters during a F2P so they can narrow down the cheats/test the anti-cheat.
Either way, still feels like a kick in the face after being banned for nothing.
At least The journalist on Twitter is taking this seriously. @xSniper1982they had to clean out the players who would scare away potential xmas crowd sales. hahaha
GG, another copy pasta, still have NO CLUE WHAT SPECIFICALLY I DID.
So I just lost $70 and have no clue why. If someone robbed me on the street for $70 I'd at least know why I am short $70. EA just takes the money and runs.

Game is dead anyways. See a lot on reddit as well that its even that bad that people aren't even able to get a lobby with players to actually start the game. ah well, cba anymore.

I have NEVER cheated! I am 47 year old tried and true gamer and have been playing for over 20 years. I despise cheaters and here I get an email telling me that I've been banned for cheating! I've only played the game twice! I think I am still like a level 5. I went through the process and thought for sure that whatever issue they had on "their" side would be resolved but I get the following email:
"Hello,
Thanks for contacting us about your account action.
We got your note and did a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures.
What this means
We have confirmed that your account was involved in cheating. Because of this, we will not remove the sanction on your account.
You break our rules(https://www.ea.com/terms-of-service#section6) if you:
• use software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use undocumented features, exploits or cheats in-game that disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use software or cheats that disconnects other users from the EA servers.
Any questions?
• Read up on how to play by the rules at https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/play-by-the-ea-rules/
• Review our full user agreement. This is what you agree to when you make an EA Account or use EA services: http://www.ea.com/terms-of-service
Thank you,
EA Terms of Service"Then have the nerve to send me a follow up email asking me how was the service! Really!!!! Game cost me $96.29, played twice and now screwed over. I beyond frustrated even though I had no plans of playing no time in the near future. Life...
@UniDaHeroHi welcome to the group. Everyone seems to get the same rubbish bot response. I doubt a human actually looks at it, our last hope is Tom.
I think we might need to come to terms with, we are not famous, we are nobody players that if they ban nobody is going to fight to get back on and we can cry all we want, end of the day what can we do?
To actually get a human to help here we'd need to be (insert big streamer name).- UniDaHero4 years agoSeasoned Novice@VandaLzA I did send Tom the requested information. This is ridiculous. I literally own ever single BF game. I've been here since the beginning and have been running the same hardware since BF3 without any issues. Absolutely nothing has changed on my PC rig. I only played this game twice. Paid to play the beta at close to $100. Played a couple of hours and then didn't play the beta. Played once last month and once a couple of weeks ago and this BS...
- @UniDaHero IKR, least I got a deal out of my copy. I bought the Amazon WD 1TB NVME GEN 4 w/BF2042 so at least the drive worked out really cheap. AT THE TIME, now I guess I paid full retail since EA is EA......

Is there a list of the following:
• using software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• using unsupported mods, unauthorized hardware or accessories.'I've use a Logitech G9X that has mapping capabilities but haven't setup a BF2042 profile. I also see that people are saying something about the iCUE software which is used for my Corsair Void Wireless HP. I have MSI Afterburner installed but only use it when I need a little more out of my GTX 1070 for Alyx Half Life in VR. Other than those, I can't think of anything else. I wonder if any of those software violates their T&C.
@UniDaHero: that brings up a new theory:
Maybe they implemented an age-check to get rid of us old Grandpas, as they know we can't cope with the skills necessary for the new Fortnite/Apex direction of the Battelfield series. That at least would explain a lot.
(just kidding, but I can't take this topic serious any more, going from angry via disappointed to "who-cares" mood)
