i'm bumping too.
why TF do I care about the player increase when I'm forced to play with less of my friends as the result of this * backwards *. None of the work arounds from previous games work either.- @Skill4Reel I just wish we had more constructive players which would want to improove the game and fix a issue that exist since ever in All BF games especially Post BFBC 1 games wich focused on squad of 4 mentality designed for 12 vs 12 matches but with 64 it became a hige problem and now with 64 even more ... No proper communication and organization just lead to in game chaos and lack of teamplay and sens of belonging
 I would love to see a larger squads and a return of BF2 commander mode where you could give specific squads instructions which would come up on the map and show coloured smoke in the level.
My concern would be if you have 16 player lobbies, and it needs to find another 16 players then you need 32 players to start the match.
This shouldn't be a problem but it is since the player count has gone down.
I think you need either 24 players (3 squads on each team) or 32 players (4 squads on each team) currently to start a 128 player server.
Players in less populated regions (like me) already have trouble getting into games.
If they could implement the suggested system but have it so you could start with only 2 squads on each team I'd get behind this.
In terms of a command structure it would be good to have other squads in your platoon colour coded differently - ie say your squad is green, other squads in your platoon could be purple, allies are blue.
- @Ga-Knomboe_Boy In my opinion small playerbase regions should be able to start anymatch at any times with any type of team size ..
But like the greatest command system ever that was in mag these squads of 4 would be matched in the end into a platton of 16 who also lack of players to be compleated ..
Yet the command structure VOIP , commander , plattoon leader and squad leader should be as described ...
The lack of structure is a recurent system inherited from Bad company 1 console era designed for 12 vs 12 where a single squad was basically 1/3 of the entire team you could easily control the entire match with a single good squad ..
The they kept it in BFBC2 32 players the BF3 64 players and it got worst and worst and now with 128 you become 1/16 of the team instead of 1/3 ... asking for 16 players lobby is a bare minimum and would mean you and your platoon are 1/4 of a 64 player team not even as much as BFBC 12 vs 12 era ..
DICE NEED to enact fast on this - @Ga-Knomboe_Boy As long as the commander has VOIP and is vetted like MAG OIC it would be good BF4 commander was bad
 Once again I will reference Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige and also Nintendos' Splatoon which are two games that have separate and well defined ranked lobbies. What I mean by well defined is that players know if they are in ranked lobbies playing solo or with their clan members, that this is a PTW (Play To Win) area where teamwork is required.
Battlefield has needed a space like this for team focused players for a long time. The solo, sandbox Battlefield experience has gotten old for me. DICE tried Incursions on Battlefield 1. I think that it was 5 Vs 5, and that is the reason why it did not work.
Large scale warfare has always been the main selling point for this series, and it was so disappointing when Incursions released to see that it was not focused on that.
I have always said that the people that want to play with each other as a team should be allowed to do so with and against other players that want to do the same.

The thing is even Halo infinite wich is a 12 vs 12 game in big team battle allow players to form a 12 players lobby and start a matchmaking process ...
BF2042 should have at least 1/4 of the team to be allowed to be a ppremade lobby of 16 players 4 squads of 4 players ...
Platoon structure and Lobby of 16 players is needed at the very least ..
Game like Mag allowed 32 players lobby to start a matchmaking in 32 vs 32 64 vs 64 and 128 vs 128 players games ..
But i think 16 players would be the bare minimum ... Bad company 1 was 12 vs 12 so 4 person dont have the same impact there as they have now with 64 vs 64
